About The Swan Inn
The Swan Inn is a pub on Village Rd in Uxbridge, pouring real ales and serving British cooking. Real fires and a large, secure back garden with shade give families and dog owners room to settle in, and dogs are welcome. The mains include grilled haddock and ribeye steak, and a roast beef lunch comes with a choice of well done or pink. The wine list draws on bottles from around the world, so the drinks run beyond the ales. A private dining room is available for groups.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the food, with the ribeye steak and the burger called phenomenal and the grilled haddock named as one reviewer's favourite. A couple who ordered the roast beef were given a choice of well done or pink. Others single out the tempura, the Caesar dressing and the tartar sauce, and one table cleared every plate. Close behind is the friendly, smiling service, described as attentive without being intrusive, and one pair without a booking on a busy Sunday were squeezed in. The garden is mentioned repeatedly as huge, secure and pretty, and a regular says the staff are very tolerant of dogs. Wine earns a nod too, with a South African Chenin Blanc and a Chapel Down rose named at one lunch. The only complaint is minor: the children's ice cream was slightly less cold than ideal. One group in the garden was brought cushions, left unrushed, and given two extra spoons so the men could taste the dessert.

“Called in on a very busy Sunday lunchtime without prior booking on 11th October 26 on our way to the ABBA arena. The sign outside said "we will always try and squeeze you in" which gave us hope of getting some food. The atmosphere inside was really good people having a good time. We were shown to a table by staff who were immaculately dressed and attentive. We ordered our meal and we both had the roast beef. It is the first place that I've been given a choice of well done roast or pink meat. The meals tasted as good as they looked. We left feeling that our day out had got off to a great start. Thanks to all the staff at the Swan for making us feel welcome and giving us a great start to our day.”

“I snapped a photo of my plate for the app which found this place and counts my calories. This spring roll with carrot salad fit my low daily total and tasted good. The room is quiet and service was quick.”

“We were 4 for lunch, the Swan opens at Noon so we had a choice of tables in the garden and in the shade. Charming hostess brought us cushions and left us to peruse the menu! A glass of Chapel Down Rose’ for the ladies a 0% Heineken for the gentlemen. Great choice of main course, it was too warm to have a starter, the ladies wanted dessert. A bottle of sparkling water and a jug of tap water served with a large glass with ice cubes. A bottle of South African Chenin Blanc hit the spot. We were not rushed, great customer service, our servers smiled and asked how else they could help. All you could ask for. The ladies had dessert, two additional spoons allowed the guys to taste. An ice-cream served with raspberry liqueur from the Cotswolds was tempting, perhaps next time. We’d arrived close to Noon and were left to chat with no pressure to leave our table. In summary, great service, a smily front of house team, good menu and a wine list covering a range of good wines from across the World. We loved it! Glen”
