Customer Review Summary
Friendly staff come up in most reviews, with diners describing servers and a manager who accommodated every need and made sure every drink and meal was right. The food follows closely, led by a Sunday roast served hot with all the trimmings, plus veggie pizza, penne arrabiata, lasagne and carbonara with garlic bread. Others single out the steak, lamb, spicy wings, garlic, tomato and basil pizza bread, and prawns in garlic butter and squid. The cocktails are called unique and not full of ice. A wedding couple praised the clear communication and the way dietary requirements were catered for. Live music on Friday and Saturday and a monthly pub quiz also get mentions. Complaints are few and specific. The mushy peas with the fish and chips were dry, and one table found the chicken mains warm rather than hot, though they liked the hot plates. One Friday lunch was very quiet, with only a single table in the venue. One diner is already looking forward to the next Sunday roast.

“This is the best pub in Ruislip. Lovely clean facilities, food it’s amazing. Most of all the staff here are so so lovely and accommodated every need we had. Especially the manager. The girls on shift were so friendly and were super smiley and happy and I feel like you don’t get that much these days. We will be coming back again. Thank you the fox team.”

“Starter of Garlic, tomato and basil pizza bread was excellent. We all enjoyed our chicken with lemon sauce & one with mushroom sauce. Food was warm but we really like hot plates as it keeps the food warmer for longer. Next time we will order a side of vegetables to accompany our main course. Coffee was excellent, good size cups and piping hot too.”
