About The Case is Altered
The Case is Altered is a pub in Pinner, set in a restored 17th-century hostelry on High Rd Eastcote. The bar pours real ales, and the kitchen serves classic pub food in a beamed barn. The menu includes Sunday roasts, fish and chips with mushy peas, and orange cheesecake among the desserts. The barn has a section for private celebrations, and a canopy area and a marquee can be booked for the same purpose. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast draws the strongest praise, with reviewers describing plentiful portions arriving hot, separate large gravy boats for the table, and light desserts including an orange cheesecake. The old barn and the outdoor area, including the canopy and marquee, are favored for celebrations, and a birthday and a 50th are both described as going smoothly. Fish and chips are called good, though one diner wanted more mushy peas and fries. Service is mostly called friendly and attentive, but the complaints are specific. Reviewers describe a small bar that struggles with volume, with long queues to order and lagers running out on a hot Friday evening. One says the veggie wellingtons ran out and suggests ordering straight away. Others mention a cold main dining room, tables cluttered with empties, and a family with children refused an inside table for one drink with chips. One reviewer says parking means leaving early. Another describes a server going over and above to keep a 99 year old mother in law comfortable.

“My first visit here I really enjoyed the environment. We sat outside it was busy but very relaxed. The only downside is parking so leave early to make sure you find a space.”

“Lovely quiet celebration meal. Our server (young lady with blonde hair in a ponytail) couldn’t have been more helpful. We had my 99 year old mother in law with us and the server went over and above in making sure we had the most comfortable time. Thank you!”

“Nice outside area but they cannot deal with volume of customers have to wait long time in queue to order bar area to small for the size of the place need to revamp the bar and the place would be very nice. Place is popular but when bar run out of largers on a hot Friday evening then it's not a good show, place could be exceptional but let down by very small bar area with slow service (no fault of bar staff)”

“Had my 50th here in the barn section at the weekend. We had access to the marquee area too, which given the recent heatwave was perfect. Staff were amazing, great atmosphere and went of without a hitch!! Would highly recommend, a stunning location and accommodating manager and staff!”

“Loved my birthday visit to this pub. Great vibe, garden and food. Booked the canopy area for my birthday and spent the whole afternoon out there with my friends. They loved it and the food was delicious. They ran out of some veggie wellingtons but we made it work. Best to order straight away!”
