About Hungry Horse
Hungry Horse is a pub on Uxbridge Rd in Iver, and it keeps a pool table in the pub for anyone who wants a game during a visit. Orders are placed by QR code, and the food is brought to the table once it is ready. Burgers are on the menu, and a curry night special adds a curry option to the food on offer. Guests collect their own cutlery and sauces, so the table is set to suit each person's meal.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the staff, describing servers as friendly, welcoming, helpful and polite. One family says the team kept them updated and apologised during a slow wait for food. Value comes close behind, with a party of six calling it great value and another diner praising the Wednesday curry night. A pool table and plenty of seating also earn mentions, and one reviewer says the food was yummy. The complaints are more pointed. One diner found the burgers greasy and the sharer profiterole pudding held only four profiteroles. Another describes starters in enamel bowls, cold plates and a cold interior, saying the place had slipped from cheap and cheerful. Two note the pub was nearly empty on a weekend evening. One reviewer says a booked table made no difference, ordering ran through a QR code, and cutlery and sauces had to be collected. That reviewer also had to chase a pint that the staff member admitted still needed pouring.

“Lovely evening having a family dinner with the kids. There was a slight delay in getting the food out but the staff kept us updated and we're very apologetic. Josh in particular stood out as he was very friendly and we really enjoyed having a little chat with him so the 5 stars is for him!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic Service from Ruby and Alice at The Hungry Horse! I had such a great experience at The Hungry Horse thanks to Ruby and Alice! Their service was absolutely amazing — friendly, attentive, and full of positive energy from start to finish. They made sure everything was perfect, checked in with genuine care, and created such a welcoming atmosphere. It’s rare to see staff who clearly love what they do, but Ruby and Alice truly go above and beyond. Huge thanks to both of them for making the visit so enjoyable — they’re a real credit to The Hungry Horse team! 👏🍽️”

“I do not rate this establishment and would not go back. We came for dinner we booked a table in advance need not of bothered as next to no one was in there, when I told the member of staff we had booked, while ordering drinks, his response was "just sit anywhere you can order from the QR code", the beer needed changing so we went and sat and ordered I then had to chase up the pint and the reply I got was "oh year I did wonder if that still needed to be poured".... Ordering off the QR code was no issue, our food arrived - realized we had to go get out cutlery and sauces etc the food was hot but the burgers were so greasy they were not pleasant. Stayed for pudding wish we hadn't, the "sharer" Bailey's profiterole pudding had a whopping 4 profiter roles in it.... The place has no atmosphere, no real service and the food is below average for this sort of place.”
