About Swan & Bottle
Swan & Bottle is a canalside pub on Oxford Rd in Uxbridge, with a view of the canal. Inside, a separate dining area holds the food service, and a lunchtime menu runs alongside the main one. The kitchen cooks roast dishes with roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and pork crackling, and desserts include lemon cheesecake and Bakewell tart. Coeliac-friendly and vegan options appear on the menu, so mixed tables can order from one list. Online booking is available, and large parties can book ahead and pre-order their food, which suits groups. Students can use the Student Beans app for a discount.

Customer Review Summary
Friendly staff are the draw reviewers raise most, with several describing servers who stayed relaxed through delays, sorted an allergy issue, and waited while a mother finished feeding her baby before asking for the table. Food comes close behind: real roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings, pork crackling, pan fried chicken, lemon cheesecake, and vegan options described as varied and delicious. The canalside setting and quiet, chilled atmosphere also earn praise. Slow service is the recurring complaint, with one lunch diner describing a long wait for food and another noting a slow start on a Friday evening, though both still call the staff friendly. One reviewer gives a very different account of a birthday visit, reporting being shouted at when announcing a reservation, watered down drinks, and dirty toilets next to their table. A coeliac diner found suitable options, and when the lamb rump arrived very fatty, the chef prepared another one.

“I really enjoyed my visit to Swan & Bottle. The atmosphere is amazing, and its location by the canal makes it such a peaceful and cozy place to relax. The inside is lovely too, with a warm and welcoming vibe. We only had starters and coffee, but everything was delicious and definitely worth it. Next time I'll be coming back to try one of their desserts, they have a great selection! A bonus for students: if you have the Student Beans app, you can get 20% off, which makes it even better. Highly recommend visiting!”

“This afternoon I visited this lovely pub with my neighbours for the first time. We were served by a wonderful gentleman called Tom, his personality, customer service, friendliness & helpfulness is the BEST I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. TOM IS TRULY OUTSTANDING, BLESS HIM! As a coeliac I was pleased with the options, I had the lamb romp which was tasty but it had a lot of fat and since. Tom very kindly got the chef to prepare another one for me which I really appreciated. For dessert i had lemon cheesecake & it was delicious 😋 😋. I even ordered a Bakewell tart with custard to takeaway for tomorrow. Well done Swan & Bottle, I hope to visit again soon 😊😊”

“Staff so friendly and welcoming. Food was fresh, real roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings and not a frozen vegetable in sight. The best pork crackling I have ever had. Well done chef. Atmosphere is quiet and chilled. Definitely go back again 😊”
