Customer Review Summary
Friendly staff are the most common thread, with reviewers describing welcoming bar staff and drinks that arrive fast. Beyond that, a pint of Trailblazer and a local dark beer brewed around the corner get singled out, along with a pool table, a beer garden at the rear and a small dance floor used for raves and an art collective's nights. Several praise the sound system and the relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The recurring complaint is heat. Two reviewers call the venue sweaty or boiling hot, and one says that after repeated requests staff replied the fans stationed throughout were on a timer or did not work. That reviewer also found service slow, wanted a longer bar with more bar staff, and spent most of the night outside, where there is no bar, so bought no drinks. Another found the music far too loud. For that reviewer, the idle fans in a sweaty room ruined the evening.

“Really enjoyed my evening at Derby Brewery Arms Staff were welcoming drinks arrived fast and the food tasted fresh and homemade The atmosphere felt relaxed and friendly with good music and clean tables I will definitely come back again soon”

“I don't know if this is to do with the recent overdose, but the bouncer on the door last night unnecessarily patted women down in a borderline inappropriate way. Gruff, off-putting, and did nothing to stop actual drugs from entering the premises. Won't be back if this tiny king in his tiny kingdom is here for good. So much for being queer friendly.”

“What a hidden gem. Amazing place with a wicked sound system, great staff and that perfect blend of boozer and bolthole.”

“Visited for meatfree ad DBA. What a great, autenthic atmosphere even it was very very sweaty. Happy for this experience! Unfortunately the music was way too loud, that was not healthy!”
