About The Social NQ
The Social NQ is a bar at 53 - 55 Thomas St in Manchester that pairs a brunch menu with cocktails and craft beer. Brunch and breakfast plates include a breakfast hash and steak and eggs, and steak also appears on its own as a main. The drinks list runs from a Bloody Mary to a happy hour cocktail list, so the same venue covers a morning plate and an evening round. The bar is open Monday to Sunday and closed on Tuesdays.

Customer Review Summary
Brunch is what most reviewers return for, with the steak and eggs singled out for well-cooked meat and good seasoning, and the breakfast hash described as packed with flavour. Close behind are the drinks: a Bloody Mary, coffee one reviewer calls the best they have had in the UK, and happy hour cocktails such as the Low Hanging Fruit, described as sweet and refreshing. Others praise a burger, mushroom gnocchi, and outstanding beans at a dinner visit. Service is generally called friendly and attentive, and a solo diner says it is an easy place to settle in, while another finds it a good spot to work in the day. The main criticism comes from a newcomer who was not greeted, found it unclear who was staff and whether to order at the bar or the table, and felt the black pudding in the hash could have been crispier. One couple's visit ended with staff feeding their dog sausages.

“Tripped across this restaurant, while roaming the Northern Quarter. Brunch vibes with lots of outdoor seating too. Decent value I might add. Enjoyed it so much we returned on our last day.”

“Came for drinks during happy hour. Such a good atmosphere from the music, set, and vibes from everyone else. Very nice to see the happy hour cocktails are their house over classics - great to taste the super nice and crafted cocktails for cheap cheap Tired the 'Low Hanging Fruit ' and definitely would recommend- sweet and refreshing, perfect for sunny days days Staff are pleasant, skilled, and efficient. Im here for a drink and i appreciated it”

“Really nice little spot with some super brunch options. Had the breakfast hash and it was packed with flavour though the black puddling element could have been a little crispier for some more texture. Still quite nice. It was a bit odd though coming in. Wasnt really greeted and was more stared into before I made it clear I was wanting to eat here. I think the issue was that it isn't clear who's staff and who isnt. This kind of extends into that it also isn't clear at first if you order at the bar or table side. A neat little spot overall but newcomers may need to be a bit more forward to get what they want.”
