Quick info
About Boom Battle Bar Manchester Printworks
Boom Battle Bar Manchester Printworks is an activity bar in Manchester, on Printworks, built around games played with a drink in hand. Indoor axe throwing is instructor-led, with the host explaining the technique and going through everything before anyone throws. Players take turns, and bar staff come over during the session to ask whether anyone needs more drinks. Mini golf and other games fill out the floor, and food is served at the bar alongside a drinks and cocktails menu. The format suits groups, from works days out and team-building events to friends meeting up and birthday celebrations. The bar also offers a cocktail making class.

Customer Review Summary
Axe throwing is what most reviewers come for, and they credit the instructors for making it work. Several describe hosts who explained the technique clearly, stayed supportive for first-timers and corrected throws along the way. One reviewer found the instructor encouraging despite being terrible at it. Close behind are the other games, with beer pong, shuffle board, pool and interactive golf mentioned, plus a cocktail making class and food described as really nice. A group of ten on a works day out said one staff member looked after them all day. One reviewer called the drinks great value, while another found them on the higher side. The caveat is the bar service. One reviewer found the bar staff short and rude, felt unwelcome and left for drinks elsewhere, and another was served flat, warm Stella. Elsewhere, bar staff were described as lovely, one checking on drink orders during axe throwing so a pair would not lose their turn.

“Me and my partner visited boom battle bar on a Wednesday for my birthday. We did axe throwing with Liam and he was fantastic, we have never done it before and he explained everything clearly and we had a such a fun time with him, he made our experience extra special. “We came as a group of ten on a works day out and had fantastic time. Fahima took care of us all day and was lovely. We did axe throwing looked after by Amelia Grace who was lovely. Ate food which was ideal. Played Beer Pong & then Shufl board. Had the most fun and were impressed with all the staff - particularly Fahima. Thanks so much.”
