Customer Review Summary

Dim sum is what most reviewers return to, from xiao long bao and prawn rice rolls to hargow and sui mai, with roast dishes close behind, including the three-roast meat platter and roast duck. Others praise the lamb with ginger and onion, the octopus omelette, softshell crab, black pepper steak and a fragrant jasmine tea. Reviewers describe the room as warm and lively, and the staff as speedy and attentive. Cost and portions are the recurring complaint: one diner found the sui mai small for its price, and another said the tea charge and service charge pushed the bill higher than expected. Two reviewers had food arrive cold. One reviewer reports that both diners had diarrhea afterward and that staff made excuses when they raised it. Another reports rough treatment once staff learned they could not speak Chinese. Several reviewers single out one server as warm and helpful, and one says that server brought a lovely note and lollipops to the table.

“Atmosphere: 4.5 / 5 Service: 4.0 / 5 Food: 4.0 / 5 Value for Money: 3.0 / 5 Review: I visited for a Monday late lunch around 3:00 PM. Overall, the atmosphere was wonderful (4.5/5) and the service was prompt and attentive (4/5). The food quality was solid and authentic (4/5), but I found the overall price to be a bit on the expensive side for what we had (3/5). Here is the breakdown of what we ordered and the prices for 4 person: Three-Roast Meat Platter (燒味三拼) Sweet and Sour Pork (咕嚕肉) Cured Sausage & Chicken Rice Pot (臘腸雞盅飯) Prawn Cheong Fun / Rice Roll (鮮蝦腸粉) Zha Liang / Crispy Dough Rice Roll (炸兩) Deep-Fried Sesame Prawn Toast/Patties (芝麻蝦餅) Xiao Long Bao (小籠包 - 3 pcs) water 1 bottle Total : £ 100.6 The dishes were delicious, particularly the roast meats and dim sum items, but after adding the tea charge and 12.5% service charge, the total came out higher than expected. Total : £ 100.6 Great spot for quality Cantonese food, but be prepared for high Chinatown prices.”

“Absolutely loved this spot in Chinatown. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and genuinely authentic. The black pepper steak was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked, and the roast duck was easily one of the highlights of the meal. Huge shoutout to our waiter, Alex, who made the experience even better. He was warm, attentive, and super friendly. Between the food, service, and overall atmosphere, this was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in Chinatown. Definitely coming back.”
