Customer Review Summary
Crispy pork is the dish reviewers raise most, with one calling it the best they have had and another suggesting it with green beans in caramelised soya. Wonton soup comes close behind as a regular order, alongside pork belly Ho Fun soup, crispy duck noodle soup and Laksa curry. Diners describe big portions that taste like Hong Kong, hot and fresh plates, and a coconut watergrass jelly with red bean dessert. Many mention a friendly proprietor who greets passersby outside, and one says an egg allergy was handled effortlessly. The complaints are sharper. One diner found the wonton noodles terrible, and another found the food usually a bit burnt, with a mediocre baked pork chop rice, an okay curry beef flank pot and a bland mango dessert, all expensive for the quality. A one-star review describes bland food, dismissive staff and an aggressively pushed service charge. Another reviewer simply calls the tiny, crammed room good value for the location.

“Terrible experience from start to finish. The food was bland, poorly prepared, and nowhere near worth the price. The staff were unhelpful, dismissive, and showed little interest in providing decent service. To make matters worse, they aggressively pushed for a service charge, despite it not being a legal requirement. Customers should not be pressured into paying extra for substandard service. There are far better places to spend your money, avoid this place altogether.”

“Right in the heart of London's Chinatown, this tiny restaurant is a good value-for-money bargain. The place is crammed, as most restaurants in the area are, but it's generally reasonably priced, considering its location.”

“I ordered the crispy pork to go and it was amazing. Hands down the best crispy pork i had. It felt really authentic at the shop and the service was great. I was greeted outside, placed my order, payed and when it was done he brought it out. Highly recommend this place!”

“Great food. I always order the wonton soup. I have brought others here that have ordered a variety of other menu items and everyone is always happy with their selection.”
