  “I genuinely don’t know what was more disappointing — the food or the service. We ordered shredded chicken fried noodles, chicken fried rice, vegetable dumplings and chicken dumplings. Somehow, every single thing tasted exactly the same: absolutely nothing. Apparently the entire kitchen is on a strict no-seasoning diet. Salt, pepper, spices — none of them seemed to make it to our table. The shredded chicken fried noodles deserve a special mention. They were dry, bland and completely unseasoned. Calling them “fried” feels like a generous description. And the chicken in the fried rice? Calling it “rubbery” would honestly be an insult to rubber. I’m pretty sure I could have bounced it off the wall and watched it come back. We left about 70% of the food, which should probably have been a fairly obvious clue that something wasn’t right. Did anyone ask if everything was okay? Of course not. Why would they? 😂 The service was another experience altogether. We were asked if we were ready to order three times in roughly one minute. I’ve had less pressure buying a car. Then came the bill. It looked like it should have been around £60, but we were charged £71, apparently including some kind of service charge that wasn’t clearly shown on the check. In fact, we didn’t even receive an actual itemised bill — just the card payment slip. Very convenient. At this point I was almost impressed by the consistency: the food was bland, the service was unpleasant, and the bill was a surprise. Left hungry, £71 poorer, and wondering what exactly happened here. Would I come back? Absolutely not. I’d rather eat the menu.”

  “Came for Dim Sum because my daughter loves dumplings. Pleasantly surprised with menu options. Spring rolls were amazing, best ever had. Dumplings delicious and authentic. Chinese broccoli cooked well. Service excellent. Friendly and fast. Highly recommend!”

  “Haven't visited this restaurant for over 30 years because we have moved away from London. We decided to dine here again for dim sum and was not disappointed, everything was fresh and not salty, just perfectly seasoned. Staff were polite and professional, and nothing was rushed. Portion size were huge for the money, definitely value for money. Will visit again and recommend.”

  “Loved this restaurant. There were no long cues outside, seating available (even though it was Saturday and very busy in ChinaTown). The vegetarian noodle dish was served very hot, and stayed hot until I finished the meal which was good. The staff served me politely with a warm smile. Thanks a lot!”

  “We had an amazing meal here. The service is so friendly and fast. The menu is huge and we loved everything we ordered from the prawn har kau to the chueng fun and morning glory with garlic. The service staff were smiley, efficient and kind despite it being a very busy Saturday. We would definitely come back here again!”

  “Just had the most amazing Chinese meal I’ve ever had, comparing to Singapore, Malaysia, Australia… this was SUPERB. The Chefs Special menu dish with pork ribs on the bone in sweet and sour sauce was the best I’ve ever tried, flash crispy fried outside and succulent inside, simply outstanding. Other beautiful dishes with our bottle of Chablis were the “cheong fun” with scallops and chicken feet (claws) in black bean sauce. Staff are as always so wonderful, professional and friendly. Only complaint: some Spanish or Brazilian or Portuguese woman arrived with her husband and group of friends, sat behind my husband, coughing her guts out. After Covid, you would think people would be much more aware and considerate, as it is not just her friends sitting at her table, but other customers like us, and everyone potentially carrying her virus and spreading it to the poor staff and taxi drivers who need to go out there to work and earn a living. I wish the laws would change after Covid to ban these inconsiderate arrogant types from restaurants and aircraft when they cough at least every second minute.”

  “A late dinner, and after a friendly street greeting, taken to one of the many spacious, relaxed, tables. Very clean, service was efficient, food & drink came very quickly, and tasted very nice. A bit pricy, but I really enjoyed my visit.”

  “This is one of my favourite places in London to go for vegan food. They have a whole vegan menu with classic Chinese dishes made with mock meats, as well as authentic vegetarian Chinese dishes. Expect to pay central London / Chinatown prices but the food is excellent and the staff are friendly, I would highly recommend.”

  “We were a large group, so we came to this restaurant since they could sit us all. The place was packed and service was quick. The food was excellent! Everyone in our party ordered individual plates, but we tried a little of each of our meals. There was nothing that was bad with the food. It was delicious and I would return for their dumplings alone! When we received the bills, it was itemized without us having to ask as other comments said, so maybe they adjusted this. I paid what I expected to pay for my meal, with the service charge, which is customary in most restaurants, especially with larger parties.”
