Customer Review Summary
Pork belly bites come up most often at The Red Lion, with reviewers calling them delicious alongside the mussels served with sourdough and plenty of broth to soak up. Others name the partridge, venison, lamb, squid and a chilli beef salad, and the menu and specials board leave diners spoilt for choice. Many describe the staff as friendly and welcoming, and several call the prices good value for the quality. The garden and shady front seating draw praise for summer lunches and Sunday roast, while the indoor room is called cozy and warm. The complaints are minor: one diner wanted more salad or slaw to go with the pork belly sauce, and another found the parking lot tight, though the quiet road outside had spaces. One couple was too full for dessert and plans to return for the Sunday lunches.

“Came in far a whole day hike, ended up here in a mid-trip and that was the best possible stop for a rest and a meal. Great place, wonderful staff and super tasty food. Will recommend to friends and family.”

“The Red Lion Coleshill is a hidden oasis in a village just beyond Amersham. The garden experience for a Sunday Roast was exceptional. Large portions, healthy options, diversity. And a very welcoming and proactive team. Thank you.”

“Popped in for a lunch at 14:00 on Saturday, the staff were really friendly - the place had a very chilled family vibe. We had the pork belly bites and squid to start, which were delicious. My only a recommendation would be to have a bit more salad/slaw to soak up the lovely sauce on the pork belly! For mains I had the mussels served with soft sourdough bread, perfect as there was lots of broth to soak up! ♥️”

“Amazing dinner - fab menu and really beautifully cooked food. Very friendly service and we felt really welcomed by everyone. We've lived a few miles away for years and can't believe we have never been here. We tried mussels, pork belly bites, venison and lamb - every dish was delicious. Very reasonably priced and nice drinkable wine alongside. We will be back - ouer teenagers would love the fab looking burgers we saw come out of the kitchen and we'd love to try the Sunday lunches. Our only regret is that we were too full to sample the dessert menu!”
