  “Stopped here for a drink whilst on a nice walk. Friendly staff, great range of beer and crisps. Didn’t eat but just had a beer by the river! Amazing setting and clearly a family owned and well loved pub. Quirky - but that is a good thing. So maybe unique and special is a better word! Only reachable by foot or boat, and that is something I love!”

  “Hard to beat location as long as you can walk there. On the River bank with plenty of outdoor seating. An ideal spot to rest as you walk up the Thames or to have a meal and/or a drink as you watch the river traffic go by. A good range of drinks including local beers. A good menu of delicious food, according to what was served to us.”

  “Bounty is a fantastic riverside pub with a truly unique atmosphere. One of the best things about it is that you can arrive by kayak or paddleboard, making it the perfect spot for a pit stop to grab a drink or something to eat while enjoying the river. The place gets very busy, especially on sunny days, but the staff are well organized and handle the crowds efficiently. Despite how popular it is, service remains smooth and friendly. When the weather is beautiful, this place is absolutely stunning. Great views, a relaxed vibe, and a perfect location right by the water make Bounty a must-visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a drink, good food, and a great riverside experience.”

  “One of the worst pub experiences I've had in a very long time. It's such a beautiful location, which makes it even more disappointing that the service and food were so poor. We raised a polite concern about our food after receiving something different from what we had ordered. I simply asked if my beef nachos could be changed to plain nachos, but instead of trying to resolve the issue, one waitress in particular became confrontational, passive-aggressive, and rude. She seemed more interested in blaming us for the misunderstanding than helping to put things right. What made it even more uncomfortable was the way she spoke to me in front of my family and other guests. Although the dish was eventually taken back, when it returned it appeared that the original portion had simply been reused. Around a quarter of the nachos were missing, and it looked as though extra cheese had just been added on top rather than a fresh portion being prepared. This was extremely disappointing and left us questioning the standard of food being served. Customer service should be about making guests feel welcome and valued, especially when a genuine mistake has been made. Unfortunately, we experienced the complete opposite. The staff were unfriendly, unwelcoming, and unwilling to handle a simple issue professionally. A lovely venue let down by poor food and even poorer customer service. Sadly, we won't be returning.”

  “Very welcoming and friendly pub in a quiet location by the river. My friend was very impressed with the beers and enjoyed the steak and ale pie. We visited another nearby pub where the staff were very unfriendly and not welcoming at all so this was a nice contrast. Nice relaxed family environment.”

  “I count myself very lucky that my travel to The Bounty is my boat from a couple of miles upstream. The Bounty always seems to be well staffed and had a good selection of beers amd largers. I have not often had food but it looks good and plenty. Live entertainment sometimes, loads of outside seating.”
