About Boot & Slipper
Boot & Slipper is a Chef & Brewer pub at 2 Rickmansworth Road in Amersham, with brewery roots dating back to the 1700s. Its name pays tribute to the town's former boot trade. The kitchen runs a brunch menu by day and an evening menu after it, with roast options on offer and a Sunday roast. Cask ale is served for those who come for a drink rather than a meal. Guests can sit in the bar or the restaurant area, and reservations are taken. Dogs are welcome, and the pub keeps treats on hand for them. The Metropolitan line station in Amersham is a short walk away.

Customer Review Summary
Food draws the most praise, with a brunch where every dish was cooked beautifully and a cod and chips described as very good. Reviewers also mention roast options and well presented plates, and one family enjoyed it enough to return twice more during a holiday. Friendly, attentive servers come up repeatedly, with diners describing helpful advice on what to order and a kind team looking after a 90th birthday lunch. Several like the choice of seating across the bar, restaurant and outdoor space, and the warm, relaxed, quiet atmosphere that one reviewer says feels like the Cotswolds. The complaints are specific. One reviewer found the Sunday roast a disaster, with burnt veg, bland meat and dodgy presentation, though they still call the pub nice for drinks. Another says they were rushed out shortly before their reservation ended, which soured an otherwise positive visit. Dog owners note the pub is dog friendly, and one adds that there are always treats on offer.

“Always have a good experience overall. Good food and good team. Great outdoor space. Sadly on last trip we were rushed from our reservation 10 mins before it ended which soured an otherwise positive experience.”
