About The Millhouse
The Millhouse is a pub in Worksop at 194 Newcastle Ave, with separate restaurant and bar areas, including the millhouse area. The menu runs through the day and puts steak pies alongside a Nottinghamshire pie. Sunday has its own menu, which includes a honey roasted ham. The pub has had a makeover and a new menu. Walk-ins are taken without a booking on busy evenings, and the bar gets busier as the night goes on. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the food, and the steak pies and the Nottinghamshire pie come up first, with one describing them as spot on. Others single out a soup and cheese toasty to start, and a honey roasted ham on the Sunday menu. Portions are called generous, and a few mention the new menu after a makeover as good value. Staff are praised repeatedly as friendly and helpful, with several noting they were seated quickly without a booking, even on a busy Saturday night. The caveats are specific. One table of seven says service thinned out as the bar filled, so they had to ask someone at the bar to send over another drinks order, and the same reviewer mentions an abundance of house flies trying to land on the food. Another reviewer says a woman who appeared to be management bluntly refused a request to charge a phone, which felt unwelcoming. One diner, a returning customer, closes on a lovely meal served by attentive staff, including a trainee.

“We visited as a table of 7 on a very busy evening in the millhouse (Wednesday 6:15). Initially the service was prompt, drinks order taken then food order. The food came out in good time and the steak pies were absolutely spot on. However as the bar got busier the less we saw the staff. Having to ask someone at the bar to come to the table to take another drinks order. That being said the food is really good, the only other thing that needs attention is the abundance of house flies trying to land on your food.”

“Called in on a Saturday night without a booking as we were visitingthe area, staff got us a seat for 2 people straight away. From the minute we sat down staff were over straight away for drink orders and food menu. Food arrived promptly, even though its was a busy Saturday night. Excellent soup and cheese toasty to start, followed by the Nottinghamshire pie. Absolutely delicious food. I would highly recommend a visiting with friends or family. 10/10 to the staff, food and pub”
