About The Beehive
The Beehive is a pub on Union St in Sheffield, with a menu covering 70 dishes alongside a drinks list that pairs real ale and locally sourced ales and ciders with commercial beers. The kitchen turns out chips, a BBQ chicken wrap, steak pie, fish batter, homemade desserts, and lamb shank. A private dining room is available for groups, and tables for eight or ten can be arranged in advance for larger parties, alongside space for couples and families. Outdoor seating extends the room, and dogs are welcome throughout. It opens daily, and reservations are recommended given the demand for group tables. A car park serves those arriving by vehicle.

Customer Review Summary
Chips draw the most comments at The Beehive, with one reviewer calling them incredible alongside a BBQ chicken wrap packed with flavour, though another visit found the fries and chips lacking crispness, attributed to what they guessed was old oil. Close behind, diners repeatedly single out the steak pie, a lamb shank described as really nice, and a fish batter called light and crispy, with homemade desserts drawing enthusiastic praise on one visit. Several reviewers mention the beer and real ale selection alongside locally sourced ciders, and the pub is described as suiting groups of all sizes, from couples to a table booked for a birthday of ten people, with one visit noting the place was absolutely packed. Staff are called prompt, efficient, and attentive across multiple reviews, and portion sizes come up as exceptional. One reviewer celebrating an anniversary with a table of eight felt the food was nowhere near as good as on previous visits, wondering if the pub had changed hands. A dog owner notes their puppy was given sausages by staff.

“Visited as a table for 8 as it was our wedding anniversary...dont know if its changed hands but nowhere near as good as previous visits. Booked for 2pm to avoid the lunchtime rush. …”

“Have heard a lot about this pub recently so being in the hospitality business myself, I thought I would check it out. Was definitely not disappointed. The premises were clean, tidy and well presented. Received very prompt and efficient service on arrival. The food was absolutely delicious with exceptional portion sizes. Unfortunately no room left for desert. Highly recommend and will certainly be returning 😊”
