About The Leeds Arms

The Leeds Arms is a pub and restaurant on Sheffield Rd, serving as a village pub with food alongside its drinks range. The bar rotates real ales from local breweries, with Timothy Taylor's Landlord on tap, and draught coke sits alongside for non-drinkers. Food runs from pizzas to curry, chilli con carne, and sandwiches, with group buffet bookings drawing on the same range. Screens show sports events including rugby and football. The pub opens daily and takes walk-ins rather than reservations. A step-free entrance suits visitors with mobility needs, and outdoor seating gives an option for eating outside. Dogs are welcome on site, and food is also available as takeaway for those eating off site.

Customer Review Summary

The pizzas draw the most consistent praise, with reviewers calling them the best they've had at any pub and describing them arriving "roughly the temperature of lava," alongside a buffet spread of curry, chilli con carne, and sandwiches praised by a visiting coach party. Close behind, the ale selection stands out, with several noting up to four regularly changing real ales from local breweries and a "Real Ale Special" night where drinkers could sample a range. The atmosphere during sports screenings and live music draws repeated mentions, including a rugby international and a football match described as having a "fantastic atmosphere," plus a weekly pub quiz one reviewer calls a highlight of village life. A few caveats recur: one visitor found only one craft beer on offer and wanted more variety, another found the pub overrun with children on a particular visit, and one reviewer reports the draught soft drinks were flat and pricing higher than expected compared to an earlier visit. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and welcoming to dogs.

Best pizzas I've ever had at any pub, anywhere. Roughly the temperature of lava when they arrive at the table!! Lovely staff and great beer. Dogs welcome. Couldn't ask for more :)

Be aware of costs as it is not the normal green king prices. Drinks not good at all,the draught coke is seriously watered or has no gas in it as was flat, no fruit, yet premium pricing. Very disappointed, still no different from a earlier visit, hence why the review, sure the locals go,but for convenience.
