About The Duke of Leeds

The Duke of Leeds is a pub and restaurant on Church St in Sheffield, with a menu of 32 dishes running from fish and chips to beer on tap. Sunday brings a roast with a choice of pork belly, roast turkey, steak pie, lamb, or beef, and the kitchen brings the meal out together even for parties of 20 or more. Customer Review Summary

Sunday roasts draw the most consistent praise, with reviewers repeatedly singling out the lamb and beef options as delicious and plentiful alongside sides like roasties, stuffing and a crispy Yorkshire pudding, and one gluten-free diner noting the kitchen matched their plate to the rest of the table. Close behind, other specifics come up again and again: the steak pie, fish and chips, pork belly with crispy crackling, and a jerk chicken special praised for its fiery sauce, plus a fish coujon starter with curry sauce. Large groups feature heavily, with parties of twenty or more noting staff managed split bills and got every meal to the table at the same time, and several call out friendly, attentive service and a well-kept pint of Abbeydale Moonshine. One recurring soft spot is pacing under pressure, a reviewer in a party of twenty found service slow though the food itself still landed well, and one longtime customer, previously a five-star reviewer, reports a more negative recent visit without detailing the specifics. Several diners mention taking home leftover puddings they'd been too full to finish.

Wow 👌 This was our first time here as it came recommend It did not disappoint We had Pork Belly x2 of us, Roast Turkey and Steak Pie. Food delicious, gravy thick and rich with flavour. Crackling on pork belly crispy and tender meat, Turkey melted in the mouth, Steak pie crammed full of succulent meat. Vegetables, roasties, mash and stuffing delicious and served with a crispy Yorkshire pudding. One of our party was gluten free and he could not fault it and was thankful his plate was similar in variety to ours. What more could you ask for. A delightful little gem seated in the heart of the village. Would highly recommend. Thank you for making our first visit such a delicious experience and thanks to a very well food educated chef. 🥰

I came here for food with three friends after work. Parking on site. Food was excellent and all our meals came out together despite paying separately - the chef made a point of this which we appreciated. We sat outside in the beer garden and staff were attentive but not pushy re more drinks etc - perfect

22 of us went for food, staff were really nice, all orders taken and food arrived all together, home cooked amazing food, no one had a complaint at all. Manager very chatty and overall such a lovely place to visit. Can’t wait to return to try something different. Had a pudding to take home and they were delicious too.
