Customer Review Summary
A recurring and serious complaint centers on Christmas Day dinner: two separate one-star reviews describe cold starters, hard or frozen roast potatoes, cold turkey and steak, and both parties being seated directly beside the ladies' toilets before being moved after complaining. A third review, while less severe, echoes quality concerns, describing tough roast meat and a "sensory overload" from loud TVs and music during a busy Saturday visit, alongside a lengthy bar wait. One reviewer also noted worn indoor seating and dim, unwelcoming toilet lighting on an otherwise quiet visit. Despite these, most describe a cosy, welcoming local with a good beer garden and reliable everyday pub fare.

“Very noisy ram packed pub. Tvs on loud and music blaring. Over sensory overload. Very difficult to talk to each other. Half hour wait at bar ro get served it was that busy. Food basic . My 3 course meal was £50 it was gluten free. My daughter had roast dinner and meat was poor quality, tough like eating a flip flop.”

“Me & my partner went for our Christmas Day dinner & omg where do I start ? They showed me & my partner to our table & we couldn’t believe at side of the lady’s toilet & mean a few inches away so complained straight away we were not sitting next to the toilets so they moved us & then the starters came out it were cold toast & cheap pati so that got wasted & then my Christmas diner came out it were freezing cold the frozen roast potatoes hard at rock & cold & the veg were freezing so all I had were bit of cold turkey & my partner had cold steak & chips she eaten the steak because she were hungry but wasted all the cold chips & for the Christmas pudding & custard that were cold again so we both wasted that so our Christmas dinner at little mester we diabolical & for just over £100 it were a joke so if anyone is going for Christmas dinner next year think again you have been warned”

“Booked Christmas meal as it was our first ever meal out. Had Christmas dinner it was diabolical. Potato’s hard, turkey was hardly anything on. Sprouts tasted frozen, starter toast were cold with pate. My partners chips on steak was cold. Overall they sat us next to the ladies toilets. I’m so hungry and disappointed Regards Christian jones”

“Had a lovely visit recently with the family and dog and being dog and children friendly made us feel more welcomed. Service was excellent as well as the food and drink. Great for watching football with a good atmosphere and even to have a spot of darts or pool. Would return again 100%.”
