Quick info
About The Swan
The Swan is a pub in Wolverhampton, on Lower St in Tettenhall village, with live entertainment built into its calendar: karaoke, live music, and dance and singalong nights. Brunch-and-a-boogie sessions and cake days sit alongside those events, and afternoon tea is also on offer. Pool and darts have their own room, separate from the bar, while large screen TVs show live football, rugby and darts for match days. Dogs are welcome. A pizza van, run separately from the pub, parks outside for events.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the friendly, welcoming staff, and many describe the weekend entertainment as the draw: a Friday or Saturday dance and singalong, a brunch and a boogie, and a DJ at a 21st birthday party. Close behind is the pub's role as a place for sport, with large screens for football, rugby and darts, plus pool, and several mention it being dog friendly. The garden and outdoor seating also get repeated praise. Food comes up less often, with one reviewer praising fresh cobs, another a Coffee and Walnut cake, and a group enjoying an afternoon tea. Reviewers also describe hosting birthdays and a funeral gathering, with the team moving chairs for wheelchair users. The one recurring complaint is price, as one diner found a basic lager and bitter on the pricey side. Another reviewer noted the menu food was not being served on their visit. One reviewer notes the staff were accommodating after a family funeral, which closes out a pattern of requests handled without fuss.

“Very good pub to watch the football in. Great atmosphere. Only marked down a star as seemed on the pricey side for a basic lager and bitter. Staff friendly.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had our daughter’s 21st birthday party at The Swan and honestly couldn’t have been happier with how the night went! The staff were absolutely brilliant from start to finish – really friendly, helpful and made everything run so smoothly. The DJ was amazing too and created such a good atmosphere. We all had a fantastic night and Olivia absolutely loved her party. 🥰 We also booked the pizza van outside for the evening, which is run separately, and that worked perfectly alongside the party. It was such an easy way of providing food for everyone and went down really well with our guests. The whole night was exactly what we’d hoped for and we came away with some lovely memories of Olivia’s 21st. A massive thank you to everyone at The Swan for helping make it such a special night. We would definitely recommend it for a party or celebration! 🥂🎉”

“Since Steve and Jodie took over The Swan, the place has gone from strength to strength. Lovely welcoming atmosphere. Pub is always clean and tidy. Entertainment is excellent, something for everyone! The staff are exceptional, hard working and provide a high level of service, wether it's a busy cake day (Coffee & Walnut is my fave)🍰, a dance & singalong on a Friday or Saturday, (James Brothers were excellent)🎶 or absolutely smashing through the extra crowds when there is a sports competition, darts🎯 rugby🏉 and soon the world cup!⚽️ They really go the extra mile for everyone! Great Pub, Great location, would recommend to everyone!! 🍻 👏🏼”
