About Clarendon
Clarendon is a pub at 38 Chapel Ash in Wolverhampton that serves Nepalese food, including momo and panipuri, alongside British pub classics. The food menu also carries curries, and the kitchen works through burgers, steaks and chicken for those who prefer a familiar plate. At the bar, cask real ales include Banks's Amber, and the drinks list runs on to draught lager, craft beer, cider, cocktails, wine and soft drinks. Sky Sports and TNT show on the TVs for match viewing, and a DJ plays under the pub's new management. An upstairs room hosts parties, which suits groups. Dogs are welcome, and the pub sits next to a brewery.

Customer Review Summary
Diners mostly come for the kitchen, with curries and Nepalese dishes leading. One reviewer calls the chicken Madras great, with the chicken cooked well and the kick expected of a decent Madras. Another rates the chicken clay pot very nice but the fish curry and large grill only OK. Others say the momo and panipuri taste just like the street food in Nepal. Close behind, several praise the Guinness, one calling it among the best they have tasted. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, and reviewers also like the atmosphere. One mentions a party in the upstairs room, and another mentions new plans for Sky Sports and weekend live entertainment. The sharpest complaint comes from a long-time regular on a match day under new management. Two of three real ales were off, and a cloudy pint was not fixed after being reported. Drinks came in plastic cups, and loud music from a DJ set drove customers out, so some tables decanted their beer back into glasses.

“Had a great curry last night at the Clarendon. I went for the Chicken Madras which was great, chicken cooked perfectly and it had just the right amount of kick that you would expect from a decent Madras. My friends had an assortment of meals all of which were well received. Service was great and we didn’t have to wait too long.”
