Customer Review Summary
Steak draws the most praise. One diner calls theirs perfect, another points to top steaks and burgers, and two others enjoyed the steak pie immensely. Close behind are the Camembert sharer, described as beautifully presented and plenty for three, a festive menu one regular found delicious, and a cappuccino another called the best ever. Service gets repeated credit. Reviewers describe friendly, helpful staff, a table ready on arrival, and table service that made a date night feel like a restaurant. One diner on a restricted diet found staff helpful with allergy advice. The complaints concern consistency. One reviewer says quality has slipped and prices have climbed, with fries arriving cold and not cooked correctly on several recent visits. Others mention overdone, dry potatoes and a fatty steak on the mixed grill. Even the unhappy diner notes that the staff always rectify the fries when they come out wrong.

“We booked online and our table was ready when we arrived. The order was taken at the table. We had a selection of food from the main menu to share. It was all hot and tasted great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The accept blue light card discounts on food. The carpark is large and lots of spaces.”

“The quality of the food seems to have gone downhill, while the prices have soared. The last few times I've visited, the fries have been cold and not cooked correctly. The friendly staff always rectify it, but I don't understand how something as simple as fries can't come out cooked correctly the first time around. The ambiance and the staff in the pub are fab, but I'd rather go to Fiume and pay similar costs for perfectly cooked food. So unfortunately I won't be eating here again anytime soon.”

“We came here spontaneously on our way home from somewhere. The service is brilliant and couldn't be more attentive etc. I am currently on a restricted diet and they couldn't be more helpful with advising with food allergies etc. The food was nice, only issue was my potatoes were a tad overdone/dry. Otherwise everyone else seemed happy with food etc.”
