About Royal Oak Chapel Ash
Royal Oak Chapel Ash is a traditional Victorian street corner pub in Wolverhampton that hosts live music, including an open mic night for anyone who wants to take the stage. The bar pours three hand-pulled cask ales alongside lagers and cider, with Thatchers Cloudy Cider on the list for those who prefer an apple drink. Food stays simple and suits a pint, with cheese and onion cobs and quiche among the snacks. Dogs are welcome, and the pub often has a few regulars with their dogs beside them.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the beer, especially well-kept real ales, with three hand-pulled cask ales described as in excellent condition and beers served at the right temperature in the correct glasses. Lagers and ciders also draw praise, and one reviewer calls the Czech Kozel the best draught beer around. Close behind is the welcome, with the landlord, landlady and bar staff described as friendly, and the landlord taking time to explain the pub's history to one visiting couple. The large, partly covered beer garden is mentioned repeatedly, and a few note the dogs in the pub adding to the comfortable feel. Live music and an open mic night get a mention, and one says it gets busy when Wolves are at home. The one drawback raised is limited space inside. A couple of reviewers finish on the food, naming the cheese and onion cobs and ham cobs, which one calls proper retro rolls.

“Just moved to the area so our first visit. We got a very warm friendly cheerful welcome. Tried a couple of the ales on tap... both excellent. Atmosphere was good, nice mix of customer and a number having their dogs with them was great... adding to the comfortable nature across the pub. Will be returning.... regularly no doubt”
