Quick info
About The Summer House
The Summer House is a traditional pub on New Hampton Road West in Wolverhampton, established 15 years ago. It pairs a Nepalese and Punjabi kitchen with hand-pulled cask ales that appear in the Good Beer Guide, and the bar stocks about six real ales from the region. The kitchen serves curries, with a chalkboard of special offer curries, along with a large mixed grill, a boneless platter and masala fries. Inside, the pub has a small front bar and a large back dining room and lounge with many tables. Out the back, a large beer garden and patio hosts outdoor DJ sets through the summer months, and the pub also runs monthly DJ and live events. The building sits on a street corner.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often return for the Nepalese and Punjabi curries, described as fresh, flavoursome and good value. Reviewers single out the boneless platter, the large mix grill and the masala fries, and one says the lamb falls apart it is so tender. Close behind come the friendly staff, who several describe as welcoming and quick, and a good selection of real ales. Others mention the large beer garden, a monthly DJ and live events, and a few call the place very clean. Criticism is limited but specific. One late-night visitor found the Newbridge Big Lizzie ruby mild disappointing, could not get a seat in the busy front bar, and described the loud piped music as socially isolating, with a barman who served them and went straight back to the front room. That reviewer said they would not return. Another calls the drink selection pretty standard. Even so, one regular describes months of fast, freshly made food and a warm welcome on every visit.
