  “Lovely time there was nice to sit outside. Me and my husband felt sad that we couldn't try the pizza maybe next time. Everything else was lovely really enjoyed the orchards dry cider I thought it was beautiful and tasted amazing. My husband had lucky saint larger he really enjoyed and now that hes tried it it's now his favourite so thank you for introducing him and we will be back agian soon.”

  “What a wonderful gem and unexpected find this was. We have been staying in Ringwood and we wanted somewhere to grab some food and this far out did our expectations! The prawn cocktail was stunning and I can’t recommend the chicken breast enough. To top it all off the staff were warm and welcoming and couldn’t do more for us! The band playing in the garden was an added bonus! If you are in the area, you must try this place out”

  “This is a large commercial gastropub. Good size car park. Themed old world country style. Staff were efficient and friendly. We were a table of 13 and they allowed for pre ordering. Outside play area. Extensive menu with Sunday Roast. Starters and deserts around £10. Mains £20+. The roast lamb was £23 and consisted of three very thin slices and the usual veg and gravy. I know costs have gone up recently but I came away feeling that this was not good value for money.”

  “Have not been to the old thatch in many many years due to moving away from the area but going there the other day with my family and some friend it has changed a lot and all for the better! The bear garden is an amazing addition and my kids had a blast playing there! The wife and I are looking to go back for a date night soon to try the food that I only saw coming out to the table and could smell and it all looked and smelt amazing so definitely excited to go back to try the food! Definitely our go to spot for the summer now =)”

  “I booked a table for 8 of us to celebrate my wife's birthday. Due to finishing earlier activities ahead of schedule, we arrived an hour before our reservation. We were met with very friendly polite staff who showed us to an area where we could wait and have a drink. We were eventually called to our table and looked after by such a lovely young lad ( i wish I knew his name, so he could be championed). He was so attentive and helpful during our entire meal. We all had the Sunday roast, and it was delicious. I honestly think it's the best roast dinner I've ever had, the gravy especially was so silky and the flavours of the food were incredible. The whole party agreed. This was our first visit to The Old Thatch as we live around a 40 minute drive away. Im so glad we found this hidden gem. We certainly will be coming back and telling our friends how good it is.”

  “Booked in for a sunday lunch ahead of going to an album launch later in ythe day. Warmly greeted on arraival and shown to our table, which also seemed to show off the tardis like nature of the place, seemings bigger than the outside would …”

  “Booked in for sunday lunch online. Dog friendly with pretty good service, wasn't impressed with one of our starters and had to wait a while for our roasts to come out however the roast was actually pretty good, the meat was soft and not chewy at all. The star of the show was definitely the desserts though! We had the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate orange profiteroles, both amazing!”
