About The Parkstone and Heatherlands
The Parkstone and Heatherlands is a Wetherspoon pub on Wimborne Rd in Bournemouth, set in a modern retail outlet. Self-serve machines pour tea and Lavazza coffee with refills all day, and a queue forms at busy times. Breakfast is a large plate of sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, hashbrown, mushrooms and toast. The menu leans on pizza and burgers, and the drinks list covers real ales, craft beers and gins. Orders go through the Wetherspoon app, and the team brings food and drinks to the table. Prints and photos of local people and places hang on the walls, and books sit on shelves in parts of the interior. A pub quiz runs in the evening.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to ordering through the app, with drinks arriving quickly and food following shortly after, and several call the service fast. The large breakfast draws mixed reactions. One reviewer found it adequate on a Sunday morning. Another got a stone cold plate, then a hot replacement with oily sausages, an off-tasting hashbrown and mushrooms that looked deep fried. A third was still charged for a replacement after ordering the wrong breakfast. Other complaints include a hot drinks station with no milk in one machine and a full grinds bin in the other, which left a long queue, plus card payment problems and pizza running out, which left burgers as the only main. Some find the atmosphere lacking, while another found it busy with a good atmosphere and a pub quiz to follow, though the bar needed another staff member. Reviewers also like the books on shelves and the local photos on the walls, and one server waited just to say a food order had reached the table.

“I accidentally ordered the wrong breakfast and I was told that I would have to pay for a replacement meal and I was still charged for the mistake! I don’t feel that is understandable and the breakfast could have been used for someone else.”

“The table configuration needs sorting, too close together and then you get a selfish man who's chair is so so far from his table, he's practically having to stretch to his limit to reach it, and won't move. We did manage to find a more suitable table but even then had to move it to use one side. That aside, we ordered via the app and the drinks arrived very quickly followed a short time later by the food. Food was usual Spoons standard and was hot, no complaints. Ladies toilet was quite nice and clean.”

“I came here on a Sunday morning for the large breakfast and for the price it was adequate... Then popped in again as staying locally in the evening and just so busy with a good atmosphere with a pub quiz to follow. They could have definitely required another staff member behind the bar. Overall an enjoyable evening.”

“One of 3 Weteherspoons in Bournemouth and definitely not the best one. Food and the drinks are good as in every Spoons, staff also do their job well and the tables are even more cleaner than in 2 other pubs but the atmosphere is not good in there. If you look at the fact that the pub is in students area and you never see students there it says everything. The other 2 Wetherspoons are much more friendly… even with dirtier tables.”

“Easy to order on the APP. Spoons just get better, excellent price and good value for a family with drinks. Service is fast and good. You know what your getting for your ££.comfortable seating and parking.”

“The pub is open for breakfast until 12 noon and offers free refills (all day every day) on tea and Lavazza coffee. For lunch and dinner, there are lighter bites, with deli deal options and vegetarian choices, gourmet burgers and freshly made pizzas. Wetherspoon has championed a wide range of drinks, including real ales, craft beers, gins and soft drinks. Table service is available via the Wetherspoon app, using our unlimited free Wi-Fi. This pub has step-free access.”
