Customer Review Summary
Sunday dinner is the most frequent draw, with reviewers praising a huge Sunday roast and a roast beef dinner they polished off, and one calling the Sunday dinners fantastic. The chicken burger and beef burger also earn praise, a kebab is called lovely, and live music on Friday and Saturdays adds to the lively atmosphere. Staff are described as friendly and helpful in most reviews, including some from diners unhappy with the food. The complaints centre on the kitchen. Two reviewers describe long waits for food that arrived lukewarm, and one of them calls the philly cheese steak pretty awful and notes that nobody apologised. Another says the hunters chicken was a pre cooked breast with the topping added afterwards. Others dislike the pre-seasoned chips and the instant coffee sachets and powdered cappuccinos, and one says the place looks shabby and is not as it used to be. One couple recalls a server complimenting the wife's dress, which made her day.

“Came in with my wife, and a lovely girl called anais (I believe that’s how to u spell her name) Served us and complimented my wife’s dress, Making her day. Thank you”

“The food was slow to appear and only came when I asked a member of staff. The food was mediocre and my hunters chicken consisted of a pre cooked breast with the topping added not cooked with it. I would have sent it back if I had had the time. When paying, the staff didn't ask if everything was ok and seemed disinterested. The place is also shabby and looks grubby. Not as it used to be.”

“Food was nice but, I wish pubs would stop serving pre-seasoned chips. Not everyone wants salty chips. Kebab was lovely. Lads said the IPA pies were nice, but no better than the standard ones. Please get a proper coffee machine. Sachets of instant coffee and powdered cappuccinos are not great. Have to say though, the staff were great.”

“Food is good for pub meals, eaten a few times here, and never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful. Can get busy at certain times, but that’s a good sign for a decent pub.”
