  “Absolutely banging carvery. I went on a Sunday, and it gets really busy at weekends, so I'd recommend booking before. The wait time to be seated wasn't too long at all. Bar service was relatively quick, and so was the wait time for the carvery. The food is really well cooked and not overpriced for the amount you get. Would absolutely recommend”

  “First time visiting with 5 other people after a recommendation. Wow sums up the food, all plates were empty with very full stomachaches. Elliot the chef was very polite, chatty and accommodating. Definitely value for money and cannot wait to return again. Thankyou so much for wonderful food”

  “I had a really disappointing experience at Middlemarch Farm - Dining & Carvery. We visited on a Sunday for a roast and were told by staff that our table would be ready in around 15 minutes, so we waited in the bar area as instructed. After waiting over 30 minutes with no update, I went to check—only to find out that we had been completely wiped off the list without ever being called. No explanation, no apology at that point—just poor organisation. There’s clearly a serious lack of attention, management, and basic people skills. It felt like no one was really in control of what was going on. Eventually, after speaking to a staff member, the issue was sorted and we were offered the option to eat in the bar area. However, things didn’t improve from there. The queue for the carvery was absolutely ridiculous—completely overcrowded and chaotic. We were told they were struggling to keep up with demand and couldn’t provide enough Sunday roast food on time, meaning long waits just to get served. Overall, the whole experience was frustrating and poorly managed. Definitely not somewhere I would recommend for a Sunday roast—far too overcrowded and disorganised.”

  “Lovely carvery at Middlemarch Farm today. Excellent service from Elliot in particular, who was kind and welcoming to our children. Would highly recommend coming here.”

  “Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The beef and turkey were extremely dry, almost powdery in texture. The roast potatoes had an overcooked exterior and a hard, dry interior, suggesting they had been refrigerated overnight and suffered from starch retrogradation. The Yorkshire puddings were the only positive element, I honestly wish I had just opted for those with vegetables. However, the most concerning issue was hygiene. Flies repeatedly landed on our food, making it feel more like dining outdoors on a summer evening than indoors in mid-November. This is a serious problem, and I strongly recommend bringing in a pest control specialist to address it promptly.”
