  “We go to the old coffee tavern every time we have guests in town for two reasons - the food is divine and the service is exceptional. We have younger children and this is one establishment that really caters for families. During today's particularly visit, Aaron was amazing with the kiddos, patiently waiting while they ordered and engaging with them. We tried to crack the code on their escape box game - which kept the whole table entertained...and we actually cracked it! The squeals of excitement could be heard accross Warwick! We can't wait to come back!”

  “Thought we'd nip out from a Warwick castle visit and try food just out side. Stumbled upon this little treat and had some delicious food. Lovely staff and great food. Recommend the calamari and scotch eggs. Ate too much in the end but very glad we made the visit. Thanks”

  “Stayed for two nights during the summer holidays for a trip to the castle and to explore the surrounding area. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms in the hotel and, although it felt like it could benefit from some redecoration, it was a perfect base for us during our time in Warwick. The building itself has a huge amount of character, which really added to the experience and suited the historic setting perfectly. The bathroom was much more up-to-date, a perfect size and very clean. The service from the staff was excellent every time we visited - everyone was really friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was also a lovely way to start the day, although it was a shame that the kitchen couldn’t be used to offer a full cooked breakfast. We were at first concerned that our room overlooked the tavern garden however, not once were we disturbed by the sound of patrons. We also had dinner in the tavern on our first night, which was excellent. The food was delicious and made for a great start to our stay. Again, the service was excellent. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would happily stay again.”

  “Traditional pub with good service and a great selection of beers. Can not comment on the rooms as we only called for a drink on 27-06-26. Called here about 12 months ago on one of our trips to Warwick and tried one of their sandwiches that they had on the menu at that time. It was delicious. Just hope the food is as good now.”

  “We stayed at the Old Tavern for one night and the place itself was lovely and the staff were nice. However, our room was very cold in the evening and we put the radiator on all the way up to 5 but it didn't work. Since it was a Sunday the tavern closed early, we tried to contact the two emergency contact numbers but there was no response and we sent text messages to both of them but no response still. Even if the radiator wasn't working, we would have appreciated an extra blanket hence contacting the numbers. As a result, we were cold all through the night. The breakfast was also a bit disappointing, it was just continental breakfast available but the lady serving us was really nice.”

  “Just popped in for a Friday evening beer and some food. The Wye Valley Brewery beers were excellent and obviously well kept. Loved the food, especially the fish cakes and lamb kofta. Really efficient and friendly service and lovely relaxing space to sit in the outdoor courtyard. Finally, prices very reasonable for such good quality fare and service. What’s not to like? A great start to the weekend.”

  “Booked for a meet up with friends. Great location and super-helpful staff. The rooms are a good size, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Good continental breakfast and nice relaxing atmosphere. Only downside was that the rooms felt a little tired and could do with a spruce up. When we arrived there was a bit of a drain-like smell in our top-floor room. But that being said I mentioned it to the team downstairs in the bar and they clearly acted quickly. When we came back the smell was gone and never came back. I guess that just reflects on the need for maintenance, definitely not on the team running the place.”
