  “Everyone enjoyed the Sunday roast and fish and chips. Priced fairly and staff were nice and accommodating to the increased number of people. Outside was buzzing with happy vibes as lots of families enjoying the great play area. Only downsides was it took a while for the table to get cleared for the next round of food/drink. A large gathering of flies joined us mid meal, so maybe a few candles/scents might help as a deterrent.”

  “We visit fairly regularly on a weekly basis after taking our grandson swimming over at the nearby leisure centre. We're always made very welcome. Lovely staff and great service. Highly recommended.”

  “We had a nice lunch, and now you are wondering about my starring. It just didn't quite hit all the buttons. Booked for Fathers Day, ordered a drink, starter arrived before it did, had to ask someone to find it, dad asked for crackling with his dinner, it didn't come, had to ask / remind. Had to leave the table to ask for more gravy, it never arrived, had to ask for a spoon for the cauliflower cheese. Ordered a cup of tea with my dessert and had to remind again when desserts were cleared. The food was alright but it all felt a little clunky. Lovely waitress served us just got the impression they were understaffed.”

  “We visited Newbold comyn arms for a Sunday lunch. It was very busy as it was a sunny day so there was a long queue to get a drink. It was table service so thankfully we didn't need to queue again to order food. I had a pork roast which was nice however most of the pork I had was fat. Roasties weren't crispy and didn't look as if they'd been in the oven for long enough. The green veg was served separately which was swimming in water. The pub did smell like canned dog food when we arrived and there was a lot of dogs inside. There were dogs running around off leads outside also so there was a lot of barking going on. It was difficult to enjoy the atmosphere at times.”

  “Me and my family came here for lunch on Boxing Day, and we had the most pleasant and heartwarming experience! The Staff were so friendly. Kaz and Naomi were very friendly and welcoming. The food was insane! I haven’t had a good meal in a long time and I was very satisfied! The duck was cooked to perfection! Reasonable prices too☺️”

  “Booked a table for Sunday lunch. Service was outstanding, we were served promptly and had frequent check backs. Food and drinks were delivered to our table quickly! Fastest service I've ever seen! I had roast pork with the cheesy cauliflower and it was amazing! Full of flavour and big portions. Cheesy cauliflower was out of this world!!! I had dessert too (chocolate brownie).. amazing too! Overall I had an amazing meal here and will definitely return! All staff were very friendly, nice and attentive. Thank you!”
