About Quakers Yard Inn
Quakers Yard Inn is a pub on Dan-y-Twyn in Treharris, with two sides to the building, including a lounge with a log fire. The games run to skittles, darts and a pool table, so there is plenty to play without leaving the bar. Live acts and karaoke bring singers to the room, and rugby is shown on screen on match days. San Miguel is on tap at the bar. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly welcome from the landlord, bar staff and locals, describing a convivial, lovely atmosphere. Beer comes close behind, with San Miguel on tap and a good selection of drinks, and a couple mention cheap drinks. Live acts and singers at weekends and karaoke also come up, and rugby days draw groups, with one visitor enjoying home made corned beef stew cooked on the log fire at half time. Others sat in the lounge by the fire, and one family was accommodated on the skittles for a granddaughter. One reviewer was disappointed despite the friendly staff, calling it just another beamed-ceiling drinking hole with darts, a pool table and a whole lot of noise that could be any pub anywhere. Another reviewer recalls a landlord who let a group bring in fish and chips from next door to eat in the bar and explained the local history.

“Awesome welcoming pub, locals really friendly too Usually have live acts/singers at weekends (generally start at 6pm Saturdays and 8pm Sundays) Beer is always 1st class, as is the friendly atmosphere. A proper 'pub' that has decent entertainment, great locals and also, a decent pint! No food served and rightly so, because its a real 'boozer' namely, a place to go for a pint and enjoy the atmosphere whilst you drink it! Top Marks = 10/10 👍”

“Have had two cracking days / nights here for the rugby...The San Miguel on tap is awesome, had about fifteen pints of the stuff! Also had bread, and home made corned beef stew (cooked on the log fire) for half time which was lush but I think it gave me a bit of a hangover the next day. Will definitely come again but only have the one bowl of stew!”
