  “The food is absolutely amazing. The staff are super friendly, the atmosphere is super friendly. If you have any allergies or intolerances, the staff will make sure that you are catered for. They have a wide range on gluten-free food and the dairy free options are also good. The duty manager Glyn is amazing and takes his role very seriously. If you have any questions, go to Glyn snd he will make sure it gets sorted. This place is amazing and i definitely recommend going here if you want a nice meal with your family or partner. They also have 2 dart boards and they also have 1 pool table. Highly recommend this pub.”

  “So we first revisited the pub on Monday 03/08, partially due to the 40% discount offer😊. We had Glyn running the bar and a young, blond girl serving the food. We ordered a mixture of burger, chicken burger and some steaks. The pub was fairly moderate and not to busy, but sill a good atmosphere😊. The food was cooked and out in no time at all, hot and good portion sizes. The steaks we're cooked absolutely to perfection (mine being a MR and the other a M). Possibly a little bit more peppercorn sauce in the portion would be great😊. Overall a great experience, service and fantastic food. Thanx to Glyn and Steve for running a fantastic pub😊.”

  “Have put off visiting this venue for a long time given some of the negative reviews. I’m so glad I finally took the opportunity to judge it myself. I was welcomed by a young girl who turned out to be the new manager, such a friendly face with a passion for customer satisfaction. A fantastic pub with the most warming atmosphere. Confused by the reviews relating to “miserable” staff as everyone I come into contact with was not only professional but friendly and welcoming. Food was of a slightly higher standard than expected from a “local pub” service was quick and the general vibe was family friendly, safe and good value for money. This place is quickly becoming my new local.”

  “What a place! Came here food and drinks and the experience I had was fantastic. I was served by Krysten and she was extremely helpful and very polite. The food was fantastic. Plenty of seating and outside area. Can’t wait to return!”

  “19-7-2026 lovely pub with good parking spaces between the A470 and Caerphilly. Sunday meal comes without peas, and very little gravy... Shame really as it would warrent 5 stars, but gives me second thoughts to consider returning.”

  “We held a 75th birthday party for Mum here last night and it was perfect. The staff were very, very helpful and attentive to us all evening! They allowed me to come up early to decorate the conservatory ready for the party and it was all clean and pristine. Would definitely consider having another event here. Thank you very much!”

  “Had a fantastic evening here last Saturday with a group of friends. The atmosphere was welcoming and lively without being overcrowded, making it the perfect place to relax and catch up over a few drinks. The selection of drinks was great, and the pizza’s we ordered were fresh, tasty, and ideal for sharing. We also enjoyed a friendly game of pool and a few rounds of darts, which added to the fun and made for a brilliant night out. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helped create a really enjoyable experience from start to finish. A great local pub with a warm atmosphere, good food and drinks, and plenty of entertainment. We’ll definitely be back again soon!”

  “Very enjoyable Sunday meal ... recommend that you book in advance as it is very busy. Visited again, still a good standard of food,very enjoyable. 10/8/25...excellent Sunday dinner yet again...well worth visiting. 27/3/26 visited on a Friday night...very enjoyable meal...worth travelling from Pontypridd.”
