Customer Review Summary
The caveat is the kitchen. Two reviewers report long waits, one saying an order placed around half past six arrived nearly two hours later with multiple orders wrong, another waiting about fifty minutes on a quiet day. Others complain of frozen chips, frozen Thai fish cakes, a dried up salad and a chilli short on heat, and one feels the food has slipped since new owners took over. A few find the prices high for the food or drinks.

“Fair priced food, but frozen chips, dried up salad, and frozen Thai fish cakes, not very enjoyable. Long wait for food 50 mins, even though quite quiet. Bar staff was lovely, she was very busy as taking orders, running bar and the waitress!”

“We went on a busy day granted but they got multiple for orders wrong and the food took a LONG time to be made. We arrived at 6 ordered by half past and didn't get food until nearly 2 hours later. The food itself is nice, but the long wait is tough, especially when you have little ones.”

“Really good service, we went there for my mums birthday today and the roast dinner was really nice also, the veg was well done. Thought the drink was a bit expensive though other than that it was all good. We will definitely be coming back .”

“Lovely little pub in a nice quiet part of town. The food was good and reasonably priced. I think the fact we hit it at the tail end of lunch time probably led to their being not a lot of atmosphere, and our fault for dawdling, but we have to be rushed by the lady serving to get our orders in which put a bit of pressure on the choices. I would definitely want to come back and try the place again and I am sure next time will be a five star experience.”

“Two years ago this place was brilliant however today it was very bad staff were stressed and not at all helpful the food was cheap and most likely bought in already prepared it used to be home made. Won’t be going again very sad as we used to love going there. Obviously the new owners are cutting back on everything to make it pay what a shame.”
