Customer Review Summary

Steak comes up again and again as the standout order, with reviewers describing sirloin and rump "cooked to perfection" alongside the Thursday steak night deal. Close behind, the Ultimate Spicy Beef Burger draws praise for its jalapeño kick and hot, crispy fries, and the beer garden gets singled out repeatedly as a relaxing spot where food and drinks are brought out promptly. Several mention the gluten free range and staff awareness of coeliac needs, and groups booking Sunday meals, wakes, and a fifteen-guest Christmas party describe attentive, friendly service throughout. Against this, a smaller number report serious lapses: one diner describes a starter served as the wrong dish entirely, cold with dried-on sauce, plus a burnt gammon and a dismissive response from the kitchen when raising concerns, though a refund was offered. Another longtime patron recounts being publicly challenged over whether they'd paid as they left after a birthday celebration, with no manager available to address it. Many, though, describe returning regularly, drawn back by staff who check on tables in the beer garden and bring takeaway containers for diners' dogs without hesitation.

“We recieved our food and honestly it had been sat in that kitchen for god knows how long. We ordered the buttermilk chicken starter, first off we had southern fried chicken not buttermilk, second the sauce had dried onto the chicken where it had been sat and was cold. The rest of the meals were exactly the same, smothered chicken was ridiculously dry, gammon was burnt, the only half decent meal was my sons burger and chips. When ordering our meals i asked for a hard egg on the gammon and was met with "what do you mean? I explained that the egg could not be runny as im pregnant, i was offered boiled eggs as the barman said he didnt know if they did hard fried eggs. We asked to speak to the "chef" who came out no problem. We showed him the state of the food and that we were not happy and his response was "everyone has an opinion" no apology nothing. He couldnt be less intrested if he tried. He offered a refund but im not sure how much as an amount didnt show on the machine. 99% of the food was left, this was noticed by the waitress who was lovely and couldnt apologies enough. Definitely wouldnt waste my money here.”
