  “Amazing from start to finish, booked for 30 people for an 18th Family Birthday get together, we provided meal orders before hand and they had everything ordered in so nobody missed out. The staff were amazing and got all our meals out very quickly so nobody was eating on their own. Excellent service would recommend for any family celebrations or get together 😁”

  “A very nice experience. Staff were polite and helpful, dinner was served in good time and was very nice at good prices and the whole atmosphere from staff to guests was pleasant. It was a lovely experience I would definitely come again since I am moving to the area in a few months.”

  “Came here with a few friends for lunch. Had a great time. They have a pool table now which kept us all occupied while we were having drinks We ordered our drinks online so we could get 10% off our drinks which were delivered while we were playing Will definitely be returning with my family soon”

  “We had a lovely evening at the pub. The food was amazing, especially the quality of the ingredients and generous portions. A big thank you to Jelena for her wonderful service — she was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect for us. Highly recommended!”

  “Wednesday curry night lovely as usual. The staff are always very helpful even when they are rushed off their feet. The assistant manager Joel cannot be praised enough. Found out the chef who cooked our meal was Jake, and a big thanks to him as well.”

  “Was really craving the bangers and mash but it ended up being a little lackluster so I felt fairly stupid when a fish and chips came out looking banging. I guess nothing beats mum's gravy volcano.”

  “FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT MAY HAVE SEEN ME AIRING MY FRUSTRATIONS WITH A BARMAN ON SAT EVE 11TH APRIL; HERE IS THE REASON WHY ? Visited this pub on 11 april , nothing wrong until I discovered I no longer had my wallet with me when i returned home of which I had at the red kite pub caerphilly . On phoning the pub a young lad 100% assured me that he had looked all over around the table where I had been sitting & at the bar where I had ordered & paid for food without finding any trace of my wallet. I decided to retrace my steps & returned to the pub , where I looked in the car park & then another look in the pub where i had been sitting. Bearing in mind that the young barman had assured me 100% he had looked everywhere within less than 10 seconds of entering the pub I consequently found my wallet on the chair I had been sitting on ? Now alls well that ends well , but I must say that this person who I spoke to did not do a very good job of looking for & finding a wallet that was not hidden & was really in plain sight just sitting there on a chair. To the person who loses a wallet with bank cards enclosed , driving licence , cash & other forms of id , it is a very serious concern. Which brings me to say that this marstons employed person did not take my situation serious enough , if he had , he would of found my wallet & to say further we will let you know if it turns up in the morning is just another way of shrugging off a concern that someone else cannot be bothered with. He acted with complete contempt & not putting a distressed customer first before anything else. The fact that I had to return to the pub myself & find my own wallet , just proves exactly that. His attitude was , well youve got your wallet now so all is good ,,, NO , THAT IS NOT THE POINT .. The point is he told me 100% he looked thoroughly & didnt find it ,, he obviously did not look 100% thoroughly at all. I was very angry with this person on my return to the pub but only because of his very laid back lapsy daisy attitude & concern to the situation . I await your reply. AND HERE IS THE REPLY FROM MARSTONS; Thank you for taking the time to share what happened. I’m genuinely sorry for the worry and frustration you experienced after realising your wallet was missing. I completely understand how stressful that moment must have been, especially knowing your bank cards, driving licence and personal identification were inside. Being reassured that a full check had been carried out, only to arrive and find the wallet yourself within seconds, naturally left you feeling that your concern hadn’t been taken seriously. When something so important goes missing, guests should feel confident that every effort is being made to help them, and I’m sorry that this wasn’t how the situation felt for you. I’m also really sorry that the interaction you had on your return didn’t offer the reassurance you needed. Feeling as though the response lacked urgency or understanding would understandably add to your frustration, particularly when you were already anxious about what could have happened to your belongings. Your feedback has been passed directly to the pubs management team so they can address the way situations like this are handled and ensure the team take extra care when assisting guests who report lost property. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, your experience will help us make sure support is clearer, more thorough, and far more considerate in future.   “Usually love coming here and always happy with the service. But came yesterday for a birthday meal. Food came quick but ordered desserts after. Waited half hour still no sign of dessert. Went and asked and then waited an extra 15 minutes not very good service this time”

  “Booked a table for 3pm, was 10mins early...no-one to greet us but finally showed to table. Informed us that there was a wait of 30mins for food. Went to order to be told that there was only turkey left...should have been told this at the door! Plates arrived after about a 45min wait and the portion size was tiny...definitely not worth the money paid and will NOT be visiting again! Ordered a tea and the milk jug had old custard marks in it!”
