About The Snitterfield Arms

The Snitterfield Arms is a pub on Bearley Rd in Stratford Upon Avon, serving a menu built around Peruvian chicken and a rack of ribs. Rack of lamb also appears on the menu, both as a main and as part of the Sunday roast. The roast comes with a sharing platter option for tables that want to split it, and a Christmas sharing banquet is offered at Christmas. Gluten-free mains are offered as standard, so those dishes sit on the regular menu rather than a separate list. Dogs are welcome, which suits anyone stopping in for a pint with a four-legged companion. Ample car parking is available for those arriving by car.

Customer Review Summary

The Sunday roast sharing platter is what most reviewers return to, with the rack of lamb, crispy roasters, and gravy wine jus singled out as cooked to perfection. Close behind are the 9oz rib eye, the Peruvian chicken and rack of ribs, the monkfish scampi, and a Christmas sharing banquet described as exceptional quality. Reviewers repeatedly mention a welcoming, friendly team, and several note the dog-friendly feel, the large portions, and plenty of gluten-free mains. The main complaints concern pace and a few misses. One diner found the roast beef overcooked after asking for it pink, with a long wait and thin staffing, and the bread and olives starter was called underwhelming. Another said the desserts took a long time, with a bland crumble and a ploughman's lacking something sweet like grapes or apple, though the brownie's toffee sauce was praised. One birthday diner was given a nice touch at the end of the meal.
