“We found this place by chance and decided to have a roast dinner as it was Sunday at the time. 🍴 The food overall was quite nice but the potatoes were very bland with no seasoning! The chicken was nice and not dry so that was good. The roasted veg also were very bland with no seasoning! (Shame!) The price was definitely up there as one of the more expensive roast dinners we have found so expected a little more wow. The cauliflower cheese I think also should have been on the plate without a further charge. It was very tasty luckily so we didn’t mind too much.”

“We popped in for lunch. We've never been here before. Service was quick and the waitresses were really lovely. Professional and friendly. Highly recommend this place. Husband had chicken supreme and I had roast veg tart. Fabulous. Would definitely go again!!”

“A thoroughly enjoyable visit. We stopped in today for a family Sunday lunch and enjoyed a roast beef each. The food was very nicely presented, cooked well and tasted lovely. Perhaps a slightly larger portion of veg would be better but we enjoyed it either way. For desert we enjoyed some of the great variety of ice creams on the menu. £2 a scoop seemed reasonable and it eas nicely presented with cream and fruit. The treacle tart was wonderful! It was busy and had a busy but comfortable atmosphere with good service and friendly staff. There are wood burning fireplaces so I'll be looking forward to a return visit in the winter for pie and a pint! There's plenty of seating choices inside as well as ample outdoor seating, covered and open. You can even sit near the river and relax. A lovely place to visit with friends or family.”
