“I ran a comedy night, at the Golden lion. Before the acts arrived, I ordered food and sat in they're beautifully laid out, beer garden and enjoyed some food, good value for money. Great service from staff, staff are very friendly. The comedy, was very well promoted with the venues support, we had a full house, no empty seats. Landlords were very welcoming and helpful, with set up, we have been welcomed back, to run another comedy night and with the venues support. Happy to say, it's going to be a regular thing and we will be bringing comedy and laughs to fareham!”

“Comedy night 12/08 - were meant to see jonathon clegg a local renowned comedian who apparently got cancelled . Anyway the drinks and service was ok and a group of 30-35 persons watched the show . I will briefly summarise each act for their own feedback . 1-mediocre , 2 - not funny , people laughing at not with, 3 - self acclaimed rude lady was good. Interval . 4- well this was not funny at all , she read a script from a phone after a few minutes , the story went on and on , wasn’t funny and she wasn’t even very good at reading .5- top fella - very funny and relevant couldnt of listened to him all night , well done 👏. 6- unfortunately had a train to catch to missed the end . It was free , it was something to do , no complaints re the venue , comedy a bit more of a miss than a hit but the 2 acts described made it worth the trip. Perhaps Jonathon gets a go next time ?”
