  “Had a lovely lunch here and would definitely recommend it. The Pie of the Day and the 1966 Burger were both delicious and cooked perfectly. A special mention to Andrei and Harley, whose friendly and attentive service made the experience even better. The garden setting was perfect for a sunny day, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy some excellent food. We’ll be back!”

  “Had dinner there recently and it was excellent. The Sunday roast and the chicken burger were delicious and the service and atmosphere was fantastic. Great staff, particularly Eva who served us.”

  “Really enjoyed the food and drinks (Although mine was a Pepsi) Pleasant and helpful staff. Wheelchair users wanting to use the Zest EV just be aware that the level access entrance is in the upper car park so if you are using the charger you've got quite a workout getting up to the entrance.”

  “I just had the best Sunday lunch. The food was outstanding, really generous portions, large selection of freshly cooked veg. Delicious gravy & the creamed cabbage was outstanding. Excellent service by Eva & the rest of the staff who are all attentive, professional & made the whole meal a pleasurable experience. Can’t wait to return.”

  “Served by Cerys today, so good with our young girls and the service was great, the food was exceptional! Lovely little touch today for Mothers Day a glass of bubbles to celebrate. A lovely amount of time between servings, and such great staff which makes the experience all the better - highly recommend”

  “Booked for a meal for 8 friends on Friday 6 March - arrived to find a disco session on, which was very loud (difficult when ordering at the bar). We had not been warned about this beforehand. We were seated as far away from disco as possible but still fairly disruptive when you want a meal and chat with friends. Service was friendly but slow and we were left for such a long time with dessert menus, we'd all decided against. Food was good for all different dishes we had. Shame they didn't warn us about disco, so we won't risk booking there again as it did spoil our evening.”

  “Booked a table for Sunday 1st March, 1.45, which we arrived several minutes early. Duly shown to our table, with immediate offer of drinks and food. Drinks arrived promptly. So far so good, as we'd expect, as we have visited many times in the past. However, after just over one hour, our meals had not arrived, therefore questioned the delay, which wasn't dealt with immediately. Another 10 minutes passed, eventually a member of management visited our table, with a blatant pack of lies about supply issues (on a Sunday ?) We declined any further service, paid for our drinks. Upon leaving the premises we bumped into friends who arrived at 2.15, served immediately, and were leaving simultaneously, approx 15.00. Not even an offer of free drinks from management. We will not be visiting again following such a poor experience. If they had shown any honesty regarding waiting times etc, we would have shown more compassion.”

  “Always a lovely service and atmosphere at the cross. Fran makes the place what it is, she’s always friendly, helpful and attentive! She’s turned the place round putting on all the events and making an effort! The cross has changed hands so many times over the years and it hasn’t been this good since Ben and Scott! Well done Fran!”
