  “Excellent service from Jack! He was incredibly knowledgeable, polite, helpful and friendly throughout. Nothing was too much trouble, and he always had a smile on his face.   “Wonderful place! Beautiful setting and building. Out of stock of a number of items, but the food was tasty, if a little under temperature. Very friendly staff and decent waiting time. Great music choices too, would come again!”

  “Had lunch. Food and wine were good and the service by Jack and Jess was helpful and friendly. A very enjoyable and relaxing meal with some good chats with Jack and Jess. It was a quiet time so we were able to enjoy the atmosphere of this picturesque hotel and restaurant to the full.”

  “I've organised a meal for a group of us and everything was spot on. The food was delicious and the service was brilliant. Annabelle was looking after us, she was very friendly and she was making sure that we humans and the dogs are comfortable and happy. We were told that Henri, Monae and Chris were our chefs and I wanted to say that everyone loved the food. I had fish and chips and it was the nicest fish I had for a long time! Thank you everyone!”

  “Really enjoyed the food at Fox House. Everything came out fresh, full of flavour and the portions were just right. You can tell they put care into the food and nothing felt rushed or average. There was a good variety on the menu, so it was easy for everyone to find something they liked. I'd happily come back again and would definitely recommend giving it a try.”

  “Dearest Manager, You have the A team ! We so enjoyed our visit. Liam was brilliant - efficient & friendly serving us both days( we ate lunch, dinner & breakfast. He was up at dawn and was most welcoming . We were the first down for breakfast! Jess & Lara yesterday equally worked their boots off, so to speak! It seems the whole team is multitasking! Brilliant!   “My friend and I, are here for a weekend event and stayed at a lovely, nearby hotel. We wanted to find a new place to have our meal, so we could experience local food and culture. We were not disappointed and would very much recommend The Fox House, as a delightful pub/restaurant, with superb staff, who looked after us, with their friendliness, and hospitality, which felt just like welcoming old friends back. The outstanding Lara, and Liam, were first to represent, this great establishment. The menu options are really nice and varied, the presentation, to rival some of those Michelin restaurants and the food was deliciously good. A huge thank you and appreciation to the chefs, Chas, Dan and Dave. It’s always behind the scenes where the magic, is brought forward, and this is definitely felt, too, about our direct experience, with Lara and Liam. A warm and welcoming atmosphere, where a meal shared, is a treat, which will encourage me to visit again. Thank you, to all the staff at, The Fox House.”

  “I took my dad, mum and son to Fox House for Father’s Day lunch last weekend. The service delivered by the young ladies in the restaurant was fantastic. Everyone of them were friendly and attentive, with lovely welcoming smiles. Mia served us for most of the day and she was excellent, thank you Mia. Once her shift ended, Mellisa and Emily took over and also provided excellent service. I’ve taken the time to write this, as far too often I go somewhere and service is terrible, staff can’t crack a smile. These young ladies were standout, thank you. Will definitely visit again. Holly”

  “The food was excellent, the location is right on the edge of the peak district so there are brilliant views all around. Lara the waitress was super lovely, as well as the rest of the staff, I felt very welcome. Would definitely make the effort to come back next time I'm in the peak district. Thank you guys :)”

  “The service was fantastic, staff are very attentive and friendly. The location and pub is gorgeous. I had lamb roast and paid for mash, stuffing and cauliflower cheese as extra. I feel that the portion size was great however, I feel that I have had better tasting roast dinners for less money. The cauliflower cheese was quite underdone, the mash was bland and the stuffing was ok. The lamb had no fatty bits at all which was great. The roast veg was really nice too.”
