About The Greystones
The Greystones is a half-timbered pub on Greystones Rd in Sheffield, owned by Thornbridge brewery and serving Thornbridge ales from hand pull alongside its lagers. A gig room at the back, known as the Backroom, holds about 150 people and puts on regular live bands, which keeps live music to that room while the bar plays none loudly. Entry to the music room is cash only, though the bar itself takes cards only. The kitchen serves pizza, with a midweek pizza deal on offer. Under-18s have a curfew of 8pm.

Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers come for the Backroom gig room, calling it small and intimate, with regular live bands that one visitor travelled over from Saddleworth to see. The hand-pull real ales from the pub's local owning brewery come close behind, and reviewers praise the range and the "proper pub" feel of a bar with no loud music, where people go for a drink and a chat. Pizza gets repeated mentions too, from a weekend lunchtime pizza to a midweek pizza deal called great value. Staff are described as friendly, and one reviewer likes the under 18 curfew in the evening, which gives a family-friendly daytime and a proper pub later on. Others mention outdoor seating and views over the city after a walk through Bingham Park. On gig nights the room gets very popular, and one reviewer says to reach the bar before half time.

“Disappointingly this is a card-only venue (ironically cash only to get into the back room for the music). Food available is Pizza until 9 pm. Extensive selection of hand-pull beers from local brewery Thornbridge, plus other lagers.”

“I recently visited The Greystones and had a really enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was warm, lively, and welcoming, with a great local pub feel. The food and drinks were excellent, with plenty of variety and everything served fresh. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a relaxed and comfortable vibe throughout the visit. It’s a great spot for casual drinks, live music, or a meal with friends.”

“A lively, friendly, atmospheric pub with a decent selection of ales. There is an under 18 curfew at 8pm which makes for a family friendly daytime venue and a 'proper pub' later on. Great idea! I didn't experience the food or the live music but both come highly recommended.”
