About The Portobello Inn
The Portobello Inn is a pub in Sevenoaks where the main draw is steak on the stone, a cut of steak that diners cook themselves on a hot stone plate. The rest of the menu covers pub and casual cooking, with burgers served with chips, pizzas and a starter list built around sharing plates. Sunday lunch comes with beef or lamb, served with gravy and horseradish. A full English breakfast is also on the menu. Tables are available for larger groups. Desserts finish the menu, including a biscoff cheesecake.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the steak on the stone, cooked at the table on a hot stone plate, which reviewers call fantastic and divine. Close behind are the Sunday roast, where beef and lamb come with a gravy one couple calls heavenly and a horseradish with real kick, and the burger with its fat, meaty patty. Others praise the pepperoni and Mexicano pizzas, stuffed dough balls, a Biscoff cheesecake and a full English breakfast arranged for a golf group. Busy evenings come up often, with parties of seven and eight seated, some without a booking, and food arriving in good time and hot. The main criticism comes from one reviewer who found the spaghetti bolognese a small, fairly tasteless portion and said a pint of beer was not cheap, though others call prices reasonable. One diner who never received an ordered starter on a packed night had it removed from the bill without fuss.

“Beer isn't cheap at £6.10 a pint. The burgers look good, with plenty of chips. Don't choose the spaghetti bolognese though. £13.25 for a portion that would probably fit in a soup bowl, which was fairly tasteless and almost safe for vegetarians for the amount of meat it contained.”

“Today we went to the Portobello inn and had the most delicious pizza of my entire life. Our waitress Olivia was so nice and friendly. She was so helpful and did an excellent job with us.I went with my grandad nana and brother. We ordered the stuffed dough balls mozzarella sticks and chicken wings for starters. Then we had the pepperoni pizza and my nana had the Mexicano and my grandad had pepperoni too it was so good. We also had the biscoff cheesecake and Oreo sundae and they were AMAZING!!!! So I give it 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! By Jojo and Rupert”

“We were staying in the hotel at brands hatch for a race. We decided to book in here on the friday night (8 people) and it was amazing. They were really busy but the food came out in good time and was top quality. After one of our drivers (me) rolled our car half way through the race, we made an early get away and thought we would try our luck back at the portobello eithout a booking. It was really busy again but they could not have done more for us. Found us a table straight away and gave us the exact same treatment as the night before. Will 100% be back next year!”

“First time here for me and everything was fabulous 👌🏽. Service was too notch and the food outstanding. The place was buzzing and although I never received the starter that I had ordered, I put that down to the level of custom being dealt with and it was removed the bill with no issues. Our party of 8 were well served throughout and the hosts were first class. Will definitely visit again and can highly recommend this venue!”

“Overall food and drink was very good and a decent service too. Would be good if there was a separate drinks menu to look at. Was able to get a table for 7 people on a Wednesday evening without booking in advance. Free car parking in fair sized car park. Men's toilets could be cleaner, they were quite smelly. Reasonable prices for the area.”
