Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often credit the staff, describing friendly, quick service even on a crowded Manchester United match day, with kids looked after and lunch groups seated instantly. Food gets solid praise too: the vegan ribs, miso mackerel and teriyaki chicken are singled out, along with donburi, gyoza and a vegan range one reviewer calls massive. Close behind is the cost. Several call the menu expensive, one wanted a bigger portion for the price, and the teriyaki chicken was labeled great but expensive. Service is not uniformly praised. One diner waited a while on arrival with no acknowledgment from passing staff, then found the table QR code unreadable and was told the codes weren't being used, and getting the bill was slow again. Another also had trouble with the QR code for paying. A few dishes underwhelmed: ramen was called alright, the beef hot pot confused one table by arriving neither hot nor in a hot pot, and one first-time ramen eater preferred instant noodles. One reviewer's lunch deal and add-ons were explained by a welcoming server.

“We visited with friends recently and the staff were really good with our kids. The staff took our order promptly and it came pretty quickly. Everything was tasty and everyone was happy with their choice. Would definitely visit again if we were in the area.”

“Great option for food in MediaCity. I've been on several occasions without having to book, and service is always friendly and quick - perfect for a work lunch or grabbing food before a show at the Lowry. Visited for lunch today and our group of three were seated instantly and given a choice of where we preferred to sit from the available tables. James was very welcoming and helped us make the most of the lunch deal and various add-ons, and the food was fast and very tasty.”

“Always a winner for service and smiles! Seriously, what makes this place so great? It's the staff, every single time. In all the years I've been coming to Wagamama Media City, the team has been absolutely amazing. It's often a bit quieter than it should be, but honestly, the customer service is bang on—they are so attentive and welcoming! I went with a classic this time: one of their donburi rice dishes, a side of gyoza, and a few extra chilies to spice things up, and I was sorted! Plenty of smiles all round, and they've genuinely never let me down. Highly recommend a visit! I hope they see it and feel the love!”

“Great atmosphere, presentation and service but the food wasn't for me. It's my first time going to wagamama and my first time trying professional ramen 🍜 and to be honest I prefer the instant noodles I get from cheap shops. The teriyaki chicken was great but expensive 🫰🏾Wagamama isn't for me, I'm glad I tried it but I probably won't go back”
