Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the salad bar as the primary draw, with several praising its quality and variety. The vegan apple pie with vegan ice cream also earns repeated mention for its generous portion and delicious taste. Service frequently divides opinion: many highlight attentive, warm staff who go above and beyond, with specific praise for servers who checked on meals, accommodated dietary needs, or even diffused a child’s meltdown. However, a recurring complaint centers on inconsistent front-of-house treatment, with one reviewer describing a blunt, rude greeting and seating confusion, while another notes a grumpy staff member whose behavior made customers uncomfortable. One diner also reports a poorly maintained seat with rips. Several also point to the homemade sauces as a standout feature.

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Anna was incredible – she turned our day around and saved our visit! Visited yesterday, my nephew’s girlfriend’s first time, she loves a salad bar and had been so excited to come. Arrived at 12.45pm, asked for a table for 3. The tall lady at front was blunt & rude: happily seated the couple right in front of us, then told us no tables were free and said we could only sit outside. I couldn’t believe it. why sit outside when we came for the salad bar, plus you have those heavy glass doors? I even tripped over the big metal strip on the floor just getting in! I said I wouldn’t sit out, she cut me off mid‑sentence: “well I haven’t got a table for you!” Eventually booked us for 1.30pm like it was a total chore, such a bad attitude. We went shopping, my nephew didn’t even want to come back he was that put off. I talked him round as we really wanted her to try the salad bar. Returned at our time, got shown to a lovely corner table… only to be told minutes later we had to move, our pre‑booked table wasn’t even ours! Had to move somewhere far less comfortable, started all over again. This was ridiculous and so unprofessional. Then waited over 10 minutes just for drinks, we were literally walking out to leave or going to ask for a manager when Anna came over. She was warm, calm, professional, and instantly sorted everything. Looked after us perfectly all through the meal, took the time to explained it was chaotic because there were two shows on, which made sense. My nephew was so impressed he only ever asked Anna if he needed anything! He pointed out just how hard she was working and rushing around so everyone enjoyed their meals. After eating, she noticed I’d hardly touched my skewer. I didn’t want to say anything, salad bar was great, she’d been lovely, didn’t want to make a fuss, but she kept checking I was happy. Reluctantly I said it was too spicy; I honestly thought the sauce came separate, not already on it. She went straight to the kitchen, got them to make me a fresh plain one, even boxed it up to take away. Terrible start, but 5 stars purely for Anna. Absolute credit to Harvester you are amazing, the best staff you could meet, thank you so much Anna for saving our visit 💛 Gemma”

“A nice place to stop for food with a good atmosphere and a great spot by the water. The staff were friendly and everything felt relaxed and welcoming. Overall a really pleasant experience and somewhere I’d happily visit again. We only stopped for some nachos & a few drinks but it was a lovely experience. The kind hostess Jessica also allowed me to charge my phone since it was running low! Top service”

How this listing is sourced
- Where the data comes from
- Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
- How it stays current
- Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
- How it is ranked
- Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
