  “This was our first visit to the pub but will definitely be back. The pub and food was recommended to me by a friend and it certainly lived up to the recommendation. The food menu had a good choice of fish dishes.. I had the swordfish and my friend had the fish and chips.. In his own words 'the best he has ever tasted' The staff was lovely .great customer service.. The pub's atmosphere was so warming and welcoming.. The prices was to suit all pockets.”

  “A village just outside Nottingham isn't the most obvious place to have a pub serving amazing seafood but that's what the Woodlark is. We visited for lunch and it was fantastic. We each had the crab meat starter which was delicious and my seafood Thai curry main - crammed with cod, salmon, prawns and mussels - was even better. Lovely bar area the other side too. Definitely worth a visit.”

  “Used to be a nice village pub until the new owners took over. Was a friendly community style pub, now unfortunately you walk in there and immediately feel uncomfortable. The landlady and her clan seem to have something against their paying customers. Spoken to many people who have been coming here for years who have all agreed, I’d recommend for the food as a one off but I certainly wouldn’t advise anyone to come here for a drink unless the Robin Hood or Lambley has ran out of beer! Rude managers who seem to think they’re a cut above everybody else.”

  “We had a great walk from and around Lambley, calling in at the woodlark for the first time for us on our regular walks,and found the staff welcoming and a lovely atmosphere along with a great selection of ales.,we just had a light lunch, all was very good, must go back and look at dinner menus . On the walk just above the pub we spotted this wonderful work of art.”

  “Lovely traditional pub serving delicious food. The person before me bought the last Fish and Chips so I settled for homemade Steak & Ale pie with chips and veg. The pie was yummy with beautiful pastry. The specials board had some appealing options. Will return to try the fish another time. Also had a very nice pint of Harvest Pale. Worth a trip on the bus any day.”

  “We wanted to try this pub as it was a 4.7 and in a pretty village, within 2 miles from home. The pub did not disappoint. If you like fresh seafood then this is the place for you. I had the fish and chips which was a huge portion and my partner had the full Cromer Crab with fries and salad. Both mains were very fresh and tasty. Staff were lovely and very attentive. The man behind the bar knew the drinks off the top of his head. The lady who served us was chatty and friendly. They have a specials menu that changes often. Photos attached and real Ales! Our lunch/ dinner came to £68 2 mains £19 & £25 (big portions) Large wine £10 Beer x 2 approx £10 Port £4.50 Reservation strongly recommended as this pub only seats 30 people in the restaurant side of the pub. There is an open fire that I’m sure would be lovely in the cooler months. The bar area is full of locals and has a nice chilled vibe. Overall very good!!”

  “Lovely place, lovely staff, very attentive but in the right way. Wonderful food, the menu concentrates pn different fish dishes, all amazing! I had thd dressed crab very good value for money and mum had the cod steak and mushroom in white sauce. Both amazing!! They also have a specials menu, we ordered from this.”
