Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers come for events in the Stables, hiring it for a wedding reception, an engagement party, a 40th birthday, a 60th birthday and a 40th wedding anniversary. They describe smooth planning, with help arranging food, drinks packages, music suppliers, party decor and a private saxophonist, plus staff who kept drinks coming and the day running on time. Close behind is the food, with generous portions, puddings, the Farmers Stew and Herb Dumplings, the Forest Mushroom Pot Pie and a sea salt chocolate brownie singled out. Families and dog owners like the outdoor pods, the play park and corn hole, and one visitor's dog was brought a bowl of water. The caveats are mixed: one diner called the food a bit pricey, another found service a little slow when busy and wished for a separate family area. One reviewer who ordered the beetroot flatbread received plain white bread with a few herbs and found it too sweet. Several party hosts note leftover food they could take home at the end of the night.

“Food was really good and generous portions, puddings to die for. Service a little slow but very friendly and it was busy! Only marked down on atmosphere, as seated adjacent to a large family party with very young children screeching and dribbling food , would be nice to have a separate family areas so we could hear ourselves talk, other than that , very good 😊”

“We went to Ye Olde Bridge Inn in Oxton on a sunny day because it’s dog-friendly and the food looked great online. It’s a lovely country pub with loads going on—outdoor terraces, a beer garden, a kids' play area, an events space, and even those clear dining pods.”

“We had our engagement party here last Sunday. Katie and the whole team were outstanding. We hired the stables and outside area from 12-21. We had 80 people in total. From helping plan the day, arranging food, drinks packages and music suppliers Katie was amazing! The whole day went smoothly, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience! Highly recommend hiring and using this beautiful venue. Thank you so much 💛”

“Thank you YOBI for the fantastic venue and food that you provided for my 60th birthday celebrations with circa 60 guests. Everyone commented on how great The Stables was and the staff were incredible! We will definitely be back!”

“We hired the stables to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary and from start to finish the day was perfect. The staff were fantastic always around if needed and never had to wait for a drink. The food was amazing as always here and there was plenty even to take home at the end of the evening. The whole process from booking the event was smooth and the staff throughout couldn’t have done more. Thank you so much!”
