About The Dolphin
On Leighton Rd in Milton Keynes, The Dolphin is a bar and pub that welcomes dogs, so owners can bring them along for a meal or a drink. The kitchen works from a 46-dish menu that runs from Chorizo to an 8oz Sirloin Steak. A Sunday roast is part of that menu too, and burgers sit alongside the steak. A dining room inside the pub has been recently refurbished and gives the kitchen's food its own seating area. Reservations are required.

Customer Review Summary
Sunday dinner and the steak burger come up most, with diners calling the roast one of the nicest they have had and one reviewer naming it the best roast in Milton Keynes. The steak burger is praised as cooked perfectly, and the ultimate smash burger as having incredible flavour. Close behind are the steak and cheese pie, the scotch egg, the mushroom bruschetta and a steak board whose sirloin filled two adults and a child. Portions are described as very generous, and several reviewers say they couldn't finish everything. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, welcoming and attentive without being overbearing, even when the pub is busy, and the refurbished dining room and the outside area get a mention. The one critical review, two stars, praises the garden and the roasted camembert but calls service curt to the point of rude and the quinoa salad ridiculously small and undernourishing. Most reviewers say they plan to return, and several are first-time visitors who say the meal did not disappoint.

“The rating score did not disappoint! Definitely well deserved! Ordered the steak board and it filled 2 adults and a child. The sirloin was my favourite. We all really enjoyed every last bit! Special shout out to Eren! He ensured my family felt welcomed and they were very happy. He really made the evening an amazing experience!”

“Nice garden, and loved the roasted camembert. But service was curt to the point of being rude, and the quinoa salad was ridiculously small and undernourishing.”

“My partner and I visited The Dolphin as it’s based in the next village over from us and we had heard good things! When we arrived, the atmosphere was really warm and welcoming, a good bridge between classy restaurant and cosy pub! My partner and I had 2x different burgers, she had the steak burger cooked medium, and I had the ultimate smash burger. Both were excellent, the steak burger was cooked perfectly and was well put together and I had the ultimate smash burger, which had incredible flavour (something even burger places can’t do sometimes!). Also to note was our server, Erin. She was lovely and a real asset to the staff. Attentive and talkative, nothing we asked felt like a chore, we felt so welcomed by her! Definitely deserves the praise. If you’re in the Bletchley, MK, Leighton Buzzard area, I’d 100% recommend a visit!”

“We've come here a few times since moving to Leighton Buzzard and always have a great experience. Staff are so friendly, despite often being incredibly busy they're so professional, kind, warm, welcoming and nothing is ever too much for them. Food is exceptional, and the overall vibe is just great - we always know we're going to have a good time here.”
