Customer Review Summary
The caveat is portions and pacing. One reviewer waited an hour between starters and mains, called a peach and prosciutto salad smaller than a starter, and reported steaks not cooked to order and no reply to a follow-up email. Another found the roast dinners small, with no parsnips on adult plates, and a request for one parsnip was refused. A burger arrived as a patty with a single piece of lettuce, and one reviewer found the room loud.

“Me and my friend booked a table for her birthday and it was amazing, greeted straight away, ordered drinks first with water without asking, I called ahead to see if we could sneak cake in and surprise my friend and the whole team surprised my friend with the happy birthday song! Prices were reasonable, parking was fine 100% recommend!”

“We waited an hour inbetween starters being cleared and the mains arriving. The peach and prosciutto salad at £16.50 was a bit of a joke; smaller than a starter and swimming in water from the 5 miniscule scraps of burrata. Steaks were not cooked to order and the small handful of chips were just embarrassing. It was a big event for our kid so we didn't say anything at the time but we emailed them a couple of weeks ago giving them this feedback very politely and never heard anything back. They never even bothered responding. So here we are. The general feedback from the table was that this was an exercise in cost-cutting and that there are far better places to eat in MK at the prices that are being charged. Service is genuinely great but what they are serving is sadly disappointing. Such a shame as the location is great and we were really looking forward to it, but they lost us as customers for the below-average food, the slow service, and lack of communication.”

“Impressed by the beautiful waterfront location on the Grand Union Canal and the welcoming, relaxed atmosphere of the pub. The food was of exceptional quality. It is rare to find such a high standard of dining paired with great vegetarian options and ample parking. Most importantly, I want to highlight the superb service we received. Two members of staff, Olivia and Joey, were incredibly professional and attentive throughout our entire meal. They remained completely unflustered and ensured our visit was truly memorable. They are a credit to your team and deserve full recognition for their hard work. Please pass on my sincere thanks to them both. We will certainly be returning soon.”

“It was my 18th birthday and my dad’s birthday we came. I said on the reservation for a window table but I don’t think they read this. It took around 20 minutes to be served. Once food came we were disappointed with the lack of food, stuffing was tiny and there were no parsnips on adults meals but there were on kids. We ask for one singular parsnip as we thought was a mistake and were rudely told no by the waitress. The kids roast dinner was the same size as the adults so I recommend just getting the kids one. My grandma ordered a burger with no bread and what showed up was a burger patty with one piece of lettuce. No salad it was supposed to come with. The food overall was very good despite this. Quite a loud restaurant.”

“We had an absolutely fantastic meal at the Warbler (13/06/26). It was our first time visiting, and it did not disappoint! Despite being advised that a first choice starter wasn't available even on the first lunch service of the day, the second choice of the Ham & Sunblushed Tomato Tartlet was superb. All 3 courses that my wife and I had were exceptional, they were full of flavour, adequately sized portions, and very nicely presented. The dining experience was also very pleasant, with the restaurant being nicely spread out and despite being moderately busy it was a nice quiet relaxed atmosphere. If the wind hadn't been quite so gusty, it would have been nice to sit out on the deck with its lovely views of the marina. All of the staff were welcoming and friendly, and the overall service was great. Well worth the 30 mile drive for our first visit, and we will definitely be back again.”
