About Dishoom Manchester
Dishoom Manchester is an Indian restaurant at 32 Bridge St in Manchester, housed in a former Freemasons' Hall. The building lets the restaurant share a glimpse of Freemasonry in Bombay with its guests. The day starts with breakfast, where a Bacon Naan Roll or a Parsi Omelette sits on the menu. Lunch brings the Paneer Roomali Roll and salads, and the afternoon pairs chai with a small plate or two. Dinner can be early or late, and the kitchen also serves feasts for those who want to linger. The bar mixes Pegs, Punches, Slings and Coolers.

Customer Review Summary
Complaints centre on value and detail. Several find it pricey, with one saying the house chai portion was too small for the cost, and another calling portions small. A delivery order arrived with a dry, slightly burnt masala paratha and a mild chole. One diner found the seekh kebabs dry and the prepackaged dessert disappointing. At dinner, one party had to ask repeatedly for water, and a cheese naan was combined with a friend's order, so the friends ate most of it before the mix-up was explained.

“A Truly Exceptional Family Experience — Seven Stars If I Could! My family and I had a wonderful dining experience at Dishoom Manchester. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. What made our visit truly special, however, was the outstanding service provided by Pranav (Server 221). He treated us and our children with genuine kindness, respect, and professionalism. His warm manner, attentiveness, and thoughtful hospitality made every member of our family feel comfortable, valued, and happy throughout the evening. It is rare to meet someone who combines such high professionalism with sincere kindness. Pranav transformed a family meal into a memorable and joyful experience for us. He is a true credit to Dishoom and deserves special recognition from the management. The food, atmosphere, and exceptional service were all first-class. If I could give this restaurant seven stars, I certainly would. We left extremely happy and look forward to returning with our family again. Highly recommended, especially for families seeking excellent food and truly respectful hospitality.”

“This was truly an amazing experience. The atmosphere was quite loud, ngl, but also really immersive? Like a weird sensory trip. The food was delicious: we got the chef’s special biryani, which was amazing! We also got the bhel, butter chicken, paneer, and raita. The service was fantastic as well. The food was delicious, and I don’t think the prices were overwhelming, especially since we were sharing!”

“I always eat at Dishoom whenever I have the chance in the UK. Like the other locations, the food at this one did not disappoint. I had breakfast and dinner ar Dishoom and loved everything I ate. Service at breakfast was definitely more friendly and attentive. Service at dinner could have been better - we had to ask our server for water several times. Plus a lot of people in our party ordered naan, and the naan was brought out combined so it was hard to tell who's naan was who's. My order of cheese naan was combined with another order of cheese naan at our table - they dropped it off with my friends and didn't tell me that my naan was in the same serving container. As a result, my friends unknowingly ate most of my naan before I was able to ask our server about it (who then informed us that my naan was combined with theirs). At breakfast, the chai and porridge are endless too! Breakfast: Bacon and egg naan roll Chocolate chai Dinner: House chaat Charred lamb chops Grilled greens Cheese naan Nalli Nihari Biryani (Lamb shank biryani) Chocolate chai”

“Delicious menu, with very creative and interesting flavours. The meat is very tender🙌 The Naans are good but not the best I’ve had. I’d say however, that it’s a little too pricey overall though. For instance, the house chai was delicious (the spices tickle your throat nicely, exactly what I’m looking for) but the portion was too minimal for the price. For the experience, the unique atmosphere and top quality food, I highly recommend you try at least once in your life.”

“Begin your day at Dishoom Manchester with breakfast, which might be a Bacon Naan Roll, a Parsi Omelette or The Big Bombay. Then, lunch deliciously on a Paneer Roomali Roll and fancy Salads, or linger with a feast. Refresh your afternoon with a drop of Chai and a small plate or two. Dine early or dine late. Or just join us for a tipple – Pegs, Punches, Slings and Coolers deliciously disguise potent spirits. Through Dishoom Manchester – itself built within a former Freemasons’ Hall on Bridge Street – we hope to share a glimpse of Freemasonry in Bombay.”
