Quick info
About Bundobust Brewery
Bundobust Brewery is a modern Indian restaurant on Oxford St in Manchester, with working brewing tanks standing in the dining space, so the beer is made in the same room where the food is served. The kitchen cooks vegetarian Indian street food, such as Okra Fries dusted with mango powder, and pairs it with house-brewed beers on tap, including a chai stout and a mango lassi IPA. Long communal tables run through the room, and a combo set for sharing, with a combo deal for a large group, gives bigger parties a way to order together. Guests are seated first and then place their orders through a self-order system.

Customer Review Summary
Okra fries are the dish reviewers name most, described as crispy, salty and dusted with mango powder, with the vada pav close behind as comfort food. Paneer tikka, dhokla chaat, Bundo Chaat, and Chole Saag also come up as favourites, and the vegetarian menu is repeatedly called full of flavour. Several praise the house-brewed beers, naming a coriander pilsner, a mango lassi IPA, a Dhoop wheat beer, and a chai stout, while others mention the mango lassi and cocktails. Combo platters are described as plenty for sharing, including one ordered for a group of eight. Reviewers describe a lively, bustling space with brewery tanks in view, quick and friendly staff, and one says the staff guided them through gluten-free choices. One reviewer dissented, calling the food bland, dry, and at points raw, and saying even the chai tasted like milk. Others describe the pricing as reasonable for the portions, and one solo diner came without a booking and was seated in a nice spot.

“Absolutely loved the experience at Bundobust Manchester! The food was packed with flavour, and it’s hard to believe everything is vegetarian because every dish felt so satisfying and unique. The paneer tikka, vada pav, and dhokla chaat were standout dishes for me. The atmosphere is casual, vibrant, and perfect for catching up with friends over great food and craft beers. Staff were friendly, service was quick, and the pricing felt reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. If you enjoy Indian street food or want to try something different in Manchester, this place is definitely worth visiting. Will definitely be coming back!”

“Another great visit, this time solo and without a booking. Super friendly staff. Sat me in a nice spot. The food is always special, esp the paneer tikka. Started with a Dhoop wheat beer, which was ace and then the chai stout, which was also very good!”

“Can't fault Bundobust. We've been to a few over the past years. Excellent beer (brewed on the premises) fantastic indo/asian tapas size dishes full of flavour, aromas & invention. Highly recommend here and at the other locations.”

“Bundobust is a must visit while in Manchester. This place offers excellent value for outstanding Indian street food that comes at good speed. The restaurant is absolutely heaving with people contributing to an electric, bustling atmosphere. This particular location has brewery equipment around where I am led to believe they make the beer on offer. Theyve got fantastic interesting beers like a coriander pilsner and mango lassi IPA. Good for large groups- we ordered the combo deal for 8 people which was £125. This is almost everything on the menu. Firm recommend to anyone that likes Indian food!”

“Indian Street Food and Craft Beer from our own award-winning brewery, plus guest beers from our friends around the country and local heroes. Casual, lively beer hall atmosphere to enjoy our beers amongst the tanks. THE spot for a quick lunch, getting all your friends around one table, or a few beers or cocktails before a big night exploring Manchester's other amazing independents.”
